Skis together while riding?

I am a new park skier and i see these guys riding with there skis really tight together. It looks dope but everytime i try to do it i catch an edge

Actually you are less likely to catch an edge when you keep your skis close together. Something everyone can always improve on though.
 
I do it for style. Never have had a catching edge problem besides landing switch because I am awful at riding switch.

Came here to say this... Skiing with your skis together is just how you are supposed to ski. It's not just a park thing.

Yeah I actually don't literally make them touch because that's how I wrecked the sidewalls on my blends.
 
That's funny. I used to have my skis super close together... it looked like i was on a monoski.

But when I started riding park I spread out
