Skis that you had but never wanted

Haven't owned any of these skis but my friends have and I've ridden them and didn't like them.

Aftertbang, heavy piece of shit, not very poppy out of butters

K2 Iron Maiden, just an awkward feeling ski

TC ski, heavy piece of shit, pretty much a wide afterbang

I can't say that I've never ridden a ski that I wasn't happy with, mainly cause the shitty ones have generally been from when my parents still bought my skis. One pair that sticks out as bad were Salomon Xwings, those were my "race" skis and they were just bleh. Switching between them and my fun park skis every other day probably didnt help my opinion of them.

This fall I almost did buy some K2 recoils though and I'm glad I didn't, rode a friends pair for a few runs and they were heavier then my afterbangs and just felt dead to me, and not in the good surfy dead feeling.

2010 Elan Slingshot. Won em in some competition, they had a really weird flex pattern that just felt unstable to me and too tight of a turn radius for my liking.

But they had a bottle opener so I skied em about 10 days.

2012 Volkl alley. Stiffer than a 2x4 and too cambered for my liking. Stiffer than a friends Icelantic SKNY Nomad that's a 7/10 stiffness, they are probly a 10/10 stiffness. Also has about 2cm of rocker which feels like nothing. Didn't last very long either. They are more of an entry level ski for someone who just started skiing who's getting into the park for the first time which was me at the time, but disliked them within 3 months of getting them.

line shadows (2009). they were amazing and got me where I wanted to be... they were like baby turtles... light as a feather which was rad..... but slow as fuck... Got them for 120 bucks. which is why i got them.....

k2 amp stryker 72. things were the worst especially for trying to get into park. i now ride them at the resort...... in the summer time (rock/grass skiing )

salomon dumonts

I know they were designed for pipe but I should be able to take a pair of park skis in the park without them exploding immediately

Didn't want my first pair of twintips (k2 juvy) that I got for christmas. I wanted a snowboard but my mom decided skis would be better since I had finally gotten decent at that. I barely knew park skiing was a thing so luckily I also got the Strike dvd with them so after a while when I got around to watch that I got pretty stoked at skiing.

Looking back she definitively made the right choice.

Really???? Still have a pair of Dumont's don't use em much now but they were easily my favorite park skis I've had, rode them hard for prob 3 years without any problems, Only complaint is that they're too small and poppy when your going mach speed on anything but a groomed run on the way to the park.

Had the non-rockered sir francis bacon. fucking hated them, non-rockered fat skis are a horrible idea.

My uncle gave me a pair of volkl vertigo g30 super skinny and are super huge used them a couple of years ago but when I wanted speed I got all the speed I wanted due to them being so long.

Had a store sell me a pair of Volkl race skis even after I told them I wanted to ride park. Their argument was that I was "Too good for twin tips" and "You may as well stay on direction skis because you will learn how to do a 360 soon"
