first off, +karma for any help, its appreciated

I own a pair of 09 anthems with 40 days park on them. If I want I can buy 09 Octoland andthems for $175 that have 20 days park on them OR brand new 2010 anthems.

Will my current skis hold up as a good park ski? or will the octolands be a good cheap upgrade? or should I just go for a new pair with a warranty?

Thank you

well it depends if the anthems that you own now are trashed or not. if they seem like they are losing preformance and you really liked the symmetrical, soft, and wider park ski, then get a pair of the new 2010 if you want a lot of pop because the only difference is more olliebands in the ski, however, im sure the octos still have a good amount of pop becasue they too have olliebands in them. or if you would prefer a non symmetrical sidecut, a moderate waisted park ski, a medium flex that is stiff under the foot and soft in the tips and tails, and a litter ski with more pop than the anthems becuase of the bamboo core, then go LTE.

If they are not trashed and are still perfectly fine, i would say go LTE and switch it up a little..i mean seriously, dont spend a lot of money to get the same ski or one that has a couple more ollie bands in it, unless you LOVE your anthems.

Just my 2 cents

Well why dont you spend money on somthing with a waranty and will probably last longer cause its new? I wouldnt be comfortable with buying used skis you never know how much abuse they have been threw

I'm guessing you're asking if the skis will keep their pop since they are such a soft ski. I'd say that they have a good chance of keep good pop, it depends on how hard you ride them, but the octolands should be fine if they've only had 20 days on them. I know people who are still skiing the 08s with the wolf and they are just as good as they used to be. It depends on how well you take care of your skis and how hard you ride them, but I'd say you'd be fine with the octolands.

well haha, I forget to talk about the "pop" of the ski... Like, how long does pop last. Thanks

I ride kinda hard in the park... Not super good but I get my rounds alright. As for new skis vs. old skis, I'm strapped for cash kinda so is the warranty a good deal, and are you usually able to trade in for next years ski if yours are beat up a bit? thanks again, karma to all

Yea go for a warranty and somehow snap them. My friend snapped his walls last year on purpose and got a new pair in a week then he flipped them on eBay and got $500 for them and then bought a pair of Afterbangs. Not bad hey.

Thats my two cents. Peace.

yep, I'm not going to do this. I don't want to hurt the companies that support me and my lifestyle and are the lifeblood of our sport.

this should be easy, ride the skis you own till they are completely F%^$ed Up and then decide which new ones to get. i have a pair of skis i thought would die 3 years ago and they are still kicking its messed. if you are tired of your own skis give um a paint job.
