Skis & Fuct Edges.........warranty's??

I had the old Dynastar Concept skis with the Rasta colours on the bases. After a season the edges were completley ripped out of the side wall, the length of my boot on the side i slid rails. This was obiously from sliding rails. Dynastar and shitty edges what's the go?

I have some PE's from 2 seasons ago, i slid rails on them for around a month in total, then last season with hardly any rails. The edge on one ski has started to lift away from the side wall. I call up the store where i bought them asking about it, basicly their like "ohh u slid rails, bad luck."

This pisses me off because u buy these skis for the park and or all mountain and obviously rails are involved with the park. k2 advertises "new thicker edges" but still they tell u to get fucked when u slid rails. No warranty.

Has anyone else has this kinda issue or am i just an unlucky one?

 
i agreee it does suck that it happens but whatever...you are sliding rails and it does beat theem up so untill there is a bombproof ski were gonna have to live with that

theres a reason why there isnt a waranty, if theres agressive skiers out there, they can go through skis in a month, line offers a 1 year waranty,but companies producing millions of skis will not give a waranty because there is a handful of people that will break their skis very quickly, and that would be bad for business, it would cost millions to replace all the broken skis....

what company (skiing or otherwise) would warranty one of their products after it's been repeatedly and purposefully slammed onto a piece of metal? think about it for a second. it's like asking a tv manufacturer to warranty your tv after you've bashed the screen in with a crowbar. bottom line is that you can do whatever the fuck you want with your skis, but they're only meant to be used on snow.

everything breaks down and ski manufactures think hm.................if some one slames a pair of p-tex woord/foam edges and top sheet into metal on purpose how fast will it break down and its added up and they're like fuck that we're not warrantieing we'll lose so much money cuz skiing is a buisness and no ones in it to lose money

i agree warrenty on a ski designed for rails shood cover damage caused by rails its stupid.

No ski is "designed" for rails. If it were, it wouldn't have metal edges on it to begin with.

I do have a problem with ski companies who advertise (in photos) sliding rails knowing full well that duplicating the feat, invalidates the warranty. There should be a disclaimer on the ads.

ya but see some skis are designed for rails...like the triplets, and mostly all(i think)of lines new skis have massive egdes and bases just like my chronics..i hit up rails alot last year and my edges are absolutley fine right now.

if u had the T-Halls from Armada, and u ripped the edges out, do u think they would replace them. Those skis are sposed to have a rounded edge under the boot for rails

 
yeah i dont blame companys for not warrantying them tho, because think how much money they would lose giving kids new skis cause their edges broke?
