Skis for next year

I'm probably going to be getting some new skis next season, and I tend to go with skis from the year before (i.e. this year) because they are cheaper. So, I'm looking for some input on this year's models. Freeskier listed the Karma as the best of the year. I'm looking for something around 175cm and with a lot of pop (I love the life in my Trouble Makers) and aren't too heavy (I only weigh 145.) What do you guys have to say?

P.S. Please don't just post '[Insert ski here] is sick. Buy it.' I'd like some real input.

I forgot to mention, I hate all Line Skis and Public Enemies. I don't want to sound condescending, though. Obviously, you have every right to own whatever ski you want.

Scratch bc's. You will love em. They are great everywhere.

SMILE, its the second best thing you can do with ur mouth

I'm looking for something that will do well in the park (my local ski area is a hill, and the park is the only fun thing to do)(not too wide), but I also want them to be able to handle big mountain for when I go on college trips out west. 90mm(waist of the Scractch bc's) seems a little big to me for what I want to do. My Trouble Makers are like 78 in the waist, and I don't want to go a whole lot bigger than that. Maybe if I got bindings with lift plates (eg Look P10 lifter?) it would be allright. What do you guys think?

get arv's, they're awesome. Maybe msp's or bc's, you can handle the width.

'Duran Duran bought Armada, Armada bought Microsoft, Microsoft bought MSP and AOL, AOL owns Time4 which owns the MountainSportsMedia which owns SKi, Skiing and RIP Freeze... so Armada now owns McDonalds and Coke. Have a coke and smile and wake the hell up with low low prices and Colombian Coffee (which Tanner owns a large portion of with his silent SouthAmerican partner Flaco Delgado)' rockstinger

Line is not the future of skiing. Indie companies like Armada, 4 FRNT, Prajekt, etc. are. I realize that that's how Line started, but their skis just haven't progressed enough since they started making them six or seven years ago.

^^are you crazy...line has some of the most progressive ideas in the industry. look at the prophets, the elizabeths, etc. they have a ski for any condition and type of skier. all the new 05/06 skis are sick. how can you say they haven't progressed enough?!?!

This is just my opinion, but when I ski Lines, they just don't feel right. I don't know what it is (maybe the flex, I don'tknow), but something about them feels wrong. No other brand feels like that to me.

That's the strangest thing I've ever heard... 'I hate all line skis'. Wow. Well, get 180 Ar5s then (the extra length compensates somewhat for the 80mm waist in soft snow), or 175 ARVs. 92mm isn't as fat as you might think, they still own the park.

yeah 176 ar5's or 177 stl's look right for you, doesnt seem like either ski is changing much structure wise for next year so you wont miss out on much, should find some sweet deals too.

Its only for decoration thats it and thats all

What goes on in the gondala stays in the gondala
