Skis for next year

no just the regulat chronics i'm probably just being stupid cuz maybe last years had the same thing this is the description it gives on get boards-the mothership and some other freeride skis have it too G-Cut Geometry

Tightest radius is in the tail of a 5 radius sidecut

• Less automatic hook up during turn initiation

• Very predictable & powerful control exiting your turns

• Largest variety of turn radius options at any point in your turn

That sucks your chronics got stolen. Those were the last pair of lines i had and they held up the best. I had like 2 or 3 edge cracks after a season and a half at marquette (prolly 120 days?). Eventually the bindings ripped out like 3 times to make them un-skiable. Not really Line's fault.

Those guys complaining about edges cracking/ripping out... thats what I like about what Ive seen from liberty. They make their egdeds really fat and soft. This makes them absorb the bashing of rails (like i know all you MNers LOVE) and just get super dull, they almost never crack. Both hornbecks and lesh's skis had like 2-3 edge cracks after a few months of riding.

if u look closley at the pic u see that the sidecut isnt symetrical from tip to tail. on normal skis the center of the sidecut is in the middle of the ski. with g-cut its farther twards the tails.

that being said it brings me to a pointthat ive been trying to convince racers about and that im personally trying next year....since the middle of the cut is in the middle of the ski, all skis should be center mounted. this way you get more force into the ski causing better carving and better release from your tails at the end of the turn, a phenomena that ive been expeiriencing while riding twins. the g-cut would be more suited for skis mounted further back....from what theyre saying.

ur not, if u look at any ski, including race skis, the centerof the sidecut is in the middle of the ski. its decieving on racers cuz the tail is narrower and not tipped up. they always mount back and noone can give me a good reason for. honestly i feel that u get more tip engagement, a better exit, and more edge hold than if u were mounted back.

no, pretty sure you're wrong:

the bindings sure look like they're in the center of the sidecut.

on my fujatives the center of the sidecut is at the core center mark (which is back from true center)

I would like to try out the alphas, they seem like an intresting design, didnt moment or movement or some ski company startign with MO and ending in ENT. but I think they maybe fun, but my T-Halls are holding up great

pretty sure im going to get this coming season's invaders. Either those or possibly some ninthwards? I dunno tho

the el rey is suposed to be dope and the t-halls look nasty the extremes are sick and i always thought K2's were wide but the extremes are skiinier than the suspects so...plus they have a dope base fer sure

theres a new ski company trying to start up in summit county. I personally met the guy starting it and hes legit, got about 100k invested already, has a few presses and prototypes and everything. My roomate and another buddy are doing some graphics for him as well, so I'll probably be riding Rocky Mountain Undergrounds this season. Their site isnt 100% yet (not making a full run of skis until 09/10) but check it out, www.rockymountainunderground.com. I'll actually be testing some skis out this week maybe.

yeah they are. I'd say suspects, anthems(all models like the limited edition ones), armada has sick graphics this year and their new alpha 1 ski and maybe the dumonts.

got my clothes picked out goin with session jacket and pants, dalbello krypton boots and atomic punx for skis. does anyone kno if this years 4frnt binders are as nice as the old ones? sure there not gonna be as bomb proof but how do they hold up?

ditto tryolias shit is the best, the twister heel saves ur knees, and the only things that are wrong with the pair i got 3 years ago are a broken brake and some paint that got shaved off, i move them from ski to ski year after year

I have noticed some interest in this years 4FRNT skis and bindings and let me tell you that both will be bomb-proof. As alluded to above, all 4FRNT bindings, consisting of the Deadbolt and the Padlock lines, will be made by Tyrolia. As for the skis, this years TNK, STL and Pique lines will be outfitted with brand new BOMBtop top sheets (similar to that of Salomon's) preventing chipping, scratching, and related damage. As for the MSP, VCT, EHP, Madonna, and Grom lines, all will continue or begin their reputation as amazingly durable, responsive, and fun skis. I would list all the new technology that goes into 4FRNT's lineup this year but it would just take too long here, bottom line is that bindings and skis alike will be great buys for 08-09.

PS: As a 4FRNT Midwest Representative, it is my honor to be able to give great V.I.P. discounts on 4FRNT hardgoods to mountain employees this winter. If you are a ski instructor or park manager etc. at a "resort" in the Midwest and are interested in this discount, please contact me. I of course would need proof of employment (an email from a supervisor would suffice), if you have any questions of eligibility don't hesitate to contact me.

PPS: If anyone is further interested in the technological improvements to any of the 4FRNT lines for 2009, feel free to contact me as well.

sounds like a full trip to the flying penguin, jon carries most session clothing (or can order it) , ordered some punx, carry a full line of dalbello boots, and he used to carry tyrolia bindings, not sure about anymore tho..sure he could order them tho.
