Skis for my friend

yo, my friend wants some skis. he is 5'1" and can ride switch a little and can barely 180. He is like a 6 out of 10 at skiing and he realy wants twins even though i am telling him that he doesnt need them. what skis should he buy?
 
He actually cant 180 but he can turn around and he can barely ride switch but never does. he only have once or twice
 
I actually know this friend. This guy totally misrepresented his skiing ability. He is able to ride switch decently, and can do 180's and is learning to do more stuff in the park.
 
tell him to get twins... if he likes trying to ride switch and wants to learn then y not??? just cuz ur not amazing at freestyle dsnt mean u shouldnt get freestyle skis... when I wnted to start freestyle skiing I got a pair right away.. y learn basics on a slalom ski and then go twin-tip... And if he gets the right size twin tips can usually b used as all-mountain skisgood thread though
 
he can buy my salomon foils from 06. i never hit a rail on them ever or a jump bigger than 20 feet on them and they are in great shape. size 158 comes with bindings pm me if you are interested
 
a cheaper all-mountain esk ski would suffice. not necessarily a true twin and doesnt ned to be center mounted. but putting the obvious aside if hes pretty avid on learning in the park hes gunna want a park ski anyways. something cheap thats maybe used or outlet sold somewhere would be a good idea.
 
Find a pair of twins thats been drilled for bindings once, still have most of the edges. Take em to get tuned at a shop when they're mounted and he'll have a great pair of skis that will last him a season or two while he figures out if he likes freestyle or not. If you're going to spend any money on anything, get a set of decent bindings that can be used on the next ski, whatever it ends up being.
