i want to get my dad some twin tips for his birthday. hes an advanced skier lived in tahoe and did hike skiing up there. he wants them for pow and also groomers. i was thinking about gettin him some LINE prophets but idk yet. any suggestions? also need suggestions on bindings.

thanks =]

From Armada's skis the ARV is backcountry /pow/ all mtn and will do the groomers and park & pipe. Great utlity. For pow and all mtn mount them to factory spec line... or the less expensive El Rey that is more of a carver than big mtn pow.

Unless your dad is either a pretty aggressive skier or a big dude, he should be fine in a 12 din binding.

classic standard camber ski that rips pow and groomers.Moment Ruby.180, 188, or 190 depending on how big he is. you cant go wrong there.

I just bought my dad Rossignol S7s for the same style of skiing, so far he loves them. But I can also say the Line Sir Francis Bacon is hard to beat in versatility in pow, groomers, and in general shit.

and depending how much your dad weighs, definitely take a look at marker jesters or griffons for bindings. id say if he is an advanced skier and charges hard into pow lines then go for jesters. if he's more of a groomer skier then griffons should do fine.

I've ridden the S6's, SFBacons, Icelantic Nomads, and Salomon Shoguns and all are well suited for the kind of skiing it seems your dad will do. I would be happy to have any of those ski's waiting in my garage.

I'm trying to get my dad on karhu team 100's i think theyre the same as the prophet just different name on them. also I would look at getting him an AT binding. i had my dad get on Fristchi's about 5 years ago and he loves touring now.

Moment Ruby also seems like what youre looking for
