ok...so my girlfriend is wants to get into skiing and she's gone with me a few times and wants skis of her own now. i already hooked her up with 1080 boots and 912ti's from my shop for super cheep but now she needs skis. she will be mostly carving but also wants to jump and learn to grind. what ski would be best for her? i was thinkin 1080's cause they are great all around skis. any suggestions?

get her some smaller pe's 169? yeah the k2 ski is the 'phat luv' in the t-9 series,its got a 90mm waist..its a pow ski prolly too big for ur gf

I think the 1080s are a good choice.. I love riding on them! There fun for all mountain too, not just the park. Thats really sweet of you to help out your girlfriend like that!

get a 175 armada arv, they are a super solid all around ski....depends on how tall she is i guess but my sister is 5'-5' and like 120lbs...shes rockin the 175 arv and loves it

pocket rockets are good all mountain skis. i have them and i love them. but then again, like someone else already said, everyone's gonna have thier own opinion, so do a bit of research yourself to narrow it down to a few choices, then come with her and have her pick out which ones she likes. nice of you to help her out, and good choice on the boots and bindings, I've got the same set up and they're both great.

get some pocket rockets, they're really easy to ski cus theyre so stable, even tho they're kinda ugly.

Atomic tweak or scratch fs. I friend of mine has the 1080 (171cm) and loves them to death, but I haven't tried them. If she's an aggressive skier, she'll be able to handle the scratch or the tweak. Otherwise, go with something like the 1080.

If you can find them cheap (ebay for $250), you can get little big fats in a 158cm. They are pretty light, and the wide base would be great for landings and it would get the base parallel to the rail easier. Otherwise the PE or some lines are usually great for lighter skiers.

 
i dont know why people are suggestiing PE's for a lighter skier. Besides V Pro's and Mad Trix and MAYBE AR5's, PE's are one of the stiffest twin tips on the market. of course you never mentioned how big she was. but if she is smaller/lighter, 1080's in a 161 are a good bet, as are 164 1260's, both in the size range you mentioned, both very light, and easy to ski

 
the fujatives are great all mountain skis. my friend who skis all mountain all day every day sold his new PEs after he got the 79 fujatives and rides those top to bottom every day. as for skis for you chick i would say 169 PE or Pistol. sho will probly like the pistol cause it isnt too stiff and a great carving ski

i ride the scratch this year and they are right nice..im pretty sure yer gf would like em to cause they turn right easy and are a fun ski to play around with
