Skis for both park and pow.

i've got different skis for park (PE's) and powder (old scratch BC's 188 with the heavy ass scratch bindings). It kinda puts my skiing off coz i have to get used to the powder skis after skiing on my PE's coz the scratches are way heavier than my park skis. So, i'm wondering what u guys would recomend as a in-between ski? Or i could just suck it up and live with what i have? what do u think?

I ski the powder when it's there and ski the park if there is no powder to be found.

so basically you have a two-ski quiver and you only want a one-ski quiver? or are you talking three pairs of skis?

my one-ski quiver has consisted of the MSP for the last two seasons, they rock everywhere. i have s912ti bindings and my setup is light as fuck. i'm getting a fatter pair of skis whenever the msp's bite the dust, just because fatter is better. ARV would be a good choice too. if you're not afraid of a fat ass ski in the park, the 179 made'n might be a good balance as well.

keep it real.

nah i defenatley don't want to take 3 pairs around with me, 2 is bad enough. i just want one ski that does it all. I would probably sell the scratches to someone who wanted them keep the PE's for urbans coz their nearly finished. But yeah, I'd seen the MSP's before and they look sick and the construction looked real solid. Their a possiblilty for sure

This is an easy one; ARV. There are other options, but ARV will work perfectly.

line moship flites or this years pollards which i will sell you for cheap

i'm 5'11', would u think 179 pistols would be too small for pow? I'd think 185 would be a good size but that narrows down things though. What about these volkls. aren't they heaps expensive?

179 pistols would be good for skiing trees and stuff. if you want to ski big open pow bowls and haul ass you would want the 189s. i am a little taller than you and the same weight.

there's some brand new 185 arv's on ebay right NOW for $400 buy it now i think

I don't want to say but the 185 ARV might be a good fit. Don't buy them though because I want to be the only guy at Red with Armadas. So if you do buy them just stay at wh20 :P

ya my karmas are really sick in the park and handle really well in powder, but i think because the 2005 have that metal under the top sheet they are a little stiff for bc. but when i demoed the 06s i hated em because they took that metal plate out and now they fell to flimsy.. idunno

$400 isn't a very good deal for the arv's at the end of the season. You can find them for around $300 or less.

i ride 179 pistols and im 6'1''. they are sick in pow, and bomber in park. the maidens would be even better if they were center mounted, because i must agree, fatter is better

i rock the pow like none other

buy new scratches....

yeah i got the same question, this year i had some 179 fujatives centermounted and last years scratches for more freeriding + when i went out west...im lookin for an all around ski also, preferably light, im 5'9 and about 145 lbs

i also am looking for an "all around" ski, if you want light i would suggest the foil. it's not too fat but it should be good enough in the pow. it rips on the groom and light as hell even with the demo binding. the only decision i have to make is should i invest the extra for foil or get last season karma instead(which i haven't demoed)

Prolly best choice for this is the motherships. Those things are nice and light for park and wide for pow

182 mothership flites are a great ski for both park and powder. i rode them for two seasons and liked the flex in the park more than the flex on my park skis. and of course motherships kill the BC. sick graphic too, and good prices aren't that hard to come by. check 'em out!

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.

SURFACE 184 the way the shovel of the ski is designed when centermounted on hardpack they are true center then once you hit snow deeper than 4 inches it autimatically ofsets your stance to 4 back from center!

sooooooo sick

i ride 186 pollards. I gotta say i love them - they've got a really nice flex pattern and are a real diverse ski. I use them teaching, riding park, and powder. However i dont really like them on tight stuff. But overall, i would reccomend them as an all round ski. if you were to get the 06 version you would be looking at the chronic wide (which is the replacement). Other than that I would be tossing up between the mothership flite - heard nothing but good reviews, or the head mojo 90 - good reputation for durability and diversity

pollards, but id recomend seth pistols or pocket rockets, they work well for me at least
