i need new skis (my first twins) so i'd like to have some advice...

i'm looking for a ski which would be good in backcountry (powder etc.) and also in parks and which would be 'easy' to ski (i don't have too mutch power:(

i have skied my friends 1080,and i liked skiing them, but i'm not sure are they best for me... so let your mouth talk and tell me what skis would be good for me?

damn i just notice that there is almost same kind of question asked earlier.. just another useless post..sorry. i'll be wiser next time...

1080s would be a good ski for you, as long as you aren't a big girl.....how much do you weigh and what size skis are you coming off of?

i'm 5'4 135 lbs and i rock a pair of 178 volkl g4s and a pair of 175 pocket rockets. i like a stiffer ski so it will hold up in the crud and hard pack.

but depending on your skill level and strength you mite want a softer ski. best thing to do is to go to a shop and demo several different skis and see how you like em. try the dynastar TMs, Rossi scratch bc, or the volkl v-pros

Sick point sick on the sicktor scale.

mad trix mojo 176cm. its perfect! totally biased opinion cuz i ride them, hehe.

Duff Man: Duff Man... says a lot of things! Oh, yeah!

my girlfriend ended up getting troublemakers, and now i think she loves them more than she loves me.

Dont get gloves though, gloves are out. just use a cigarette to keep your hands warm.

my weight is about 50kg (i don't understand your lbs system..) so the skis should be pretty light.

my old skis are 160cm (their to my nose),and it feels pretty good lenght, but longer skis would be good too. but my problem is that i haven't got many situations to demo skis..none if i think.

so good advice is welcome.

i weigh like the same as u and im a girl and i have the 160 1080's. they're good ski's and they are good for riding all mountain.

you should probably look somewhere in the area of 159-165. 165 trouble makers, 159 PEs, 168 scratch may be a little big, and the 158 pro teen might be a bit small. The TMs might be the best choice for you.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

I say......Mothership 172's ARV 175's or .....maybe MSP 170's seem like the best size for you.

Look... A mountain RAM. Staring contest. Me and you. You don't even blink do you? You win. You always do. Goulet.

If powder performance comes before park performance, I'd say a Salomon Pocket Rocket. 165 cm.

SKIER: How would you describe your style?

PJ Cliche: Total skate influence. Even doh dis is on concrete, an you are face sideways, an it has sweet fuck all to do with ski, skate 'as play a huge role wit my steeze.

I would have to say the PR 165 or the 169 pistol

Let's face it, no one posts anything serious on NS, and even if I wanted to, it would be answered by some not-so-clever variation of the following:

'You're gay', 'you suck', 'I fucked your mom last night', 'Eat shit', 'fuck you', or my favourite, 'I'm a better skier than you'. Jib_This

Yeah, i was thinking the Scratch BC's maybe, i hear they're pretty flexy (flexie?). Of course, like that other guy said your best bet would be to demo or get some opinions from other women in your situation. If you're looking for something little less off-piste, Line Skogens are light and flexie (flexy?) and just wide enough for decent performance in powder, or you may have been right on with the 1080's. Wow, looking back at my post i don't think i helped you at all...

Considering you're pretty light, I would stay away from the Mad Trix Mojo (someone suggested that). Consider Salomon 1080. Pocket rockets are a little wide cause you said you don't ski that much powder. 1080 are still 80+mm at the waist, plenty to get you some float. Public enemys would be a good ski. Stick to the 80ish waist measurement.

my g/f is about your size and rides 160 trouble makers and loves them all over the mt.

i would say 160 ar5's. they're wide enough to stay about the chunks and powder, if you get any, and they're good on groomers. also good skin in the park, and are easy to ski.

~welcome to squawllywood~

me: yup

judi: how do you know how to put them on?

me:*shakes head in disgrace* the bindings judi, the bindings
