what skis to get? im 165/170, 5'6, 5'7, and i like all mt. and some park. im thinking mike nick pros... or motherships... help. i need somebody. help. not just anybody. help, you know i need someone. sorry, i dont know what just happened

i would have to say the 169 pe, because it really is around 172 or so, and it has a wide base, and mannnny differnt mounting points.

im assuming you dont live on the east coast vecause of your other thread so dont get the mike nicks even if getboards has em cheap. dont settle. save up and buy a ski that will suite your needs even if it is a little higher in cost.

i cant save up tho. i have no job, i just paid for part of my trip to new york ($200) im paying for part of football camp ($100 or so) and half of sms and all spending $ ($7-800) and paid for half of my guitar set-up ($500). shit, i dont even have that muck money.

www.4frnt.com they are twins and they are super expensive. unless your gonna drop somethin off that list in place of skis dont even bother looking at the website. $550 for a pair of skis only. plus bindings your lookin at around a 700 dollar setup. call getbpards and ask about the blemished skis if you want. they are cheap. and dont get blemished lines, they are delamed a lot of them. ask for a more solid ski and see what they got, you gotta call um.

Done go by majority, go by people who actually know what they're talking about. Ask people who ride the skis, sure, everyone's gonna tell you to get Armada's or PE's but who has even rode them? Not many.

I think the Line Mike Nick Pro 171 will be perfect for you, they're stiffer than the other Line's which makes them more stable at high speeds. I ride 1260s and The MNP is so much stiffer and I think they'll be great for you.

the skogens and the mike nicks have the same exact core. and i really dont like my skogens, they are a little soft for all mountain riding but forgiving in the park which can be good. where do you live anyways man? if you live somewhere with lots of pow pow and your gonna be riding it you dont want the mike nicks, they are too skinney and too short even if your of average hieght. mabye look at some pocket rockets, you cant really go wrong with those. good for everything.

im in washington, and(for those who know of them) i ski white pass, a little crystal, and whistler once a year or so. (for those who dont know) some powder, nothing special, good, soft snow

i've got pocket rockets and i think they're so smoothe cause they have been able to handle everything good, a little on the heavy side but i think it's because i didn't get titanium bindings. But if you look on ebay sometime in the fall you're sure to find tons of pocket rockets at decent prices so i recommend waiting til then. I've always done it the ebay way and i'm always pleased with how everything goes.

 
ive skied the 1080's, scratch and mike nicks and out of those 3 i would go with the 1080's. they seem to hold a better turn and are better all mountian ski then the scratch. the mike nicks are a nice park ski if you never ski pow. the 1080's are a little wider so they float better and are more stable landing. i had trouble with speed on the mike nicks and the scratches seems cool but just not to my liking.
