Skinning Abasin

Anyone done it? Was thinking about going sunday morning for a top to bottom skin then getting some laps in once the lifts open. It seems like from their website it's pretty lax/straightforward
 
Yeah I usually skin on friday nights and saturday mornings. Your supposed to go get a free uphill pass but no one has ever checked me on the mountain. They have a big sign at the base everyday letting everyone know if they close access for some reason, other than that it's pretty much fair game.
 
It more about getting up before patrol does. In the past there have been some patrol to be douche bags and send people back down. Just get up early enough and you will be fine. Otherwise you can do loveland pass which is right next to it!
 
Patrol only sends people back down if they're skinning above mid-mountain during operating hours (against policy.) I have literally never even heard of anyone following the rules and being stopped by patrol, let alone getting kicked out.
 
Update:

Abasin requires you to get an uphill pass now. You can get it for free at their ticket office. Also I heard a rumor they are allowing night skinning every time there is a full moon.

Confirmed full moon skin & ski this Saturday, 3/31. Heading up around 8pm, bit of drinking until 12-1amish, then ski back down. I'll be up there with the crew. Hit me up if you're going.
