Sking to dubstep songs! any good songs?

why would you still appreciate his music its wank. im not slating skrillex as a producer because he used to produce alot of electro which was actually really good. theres no doubting it, dubstep is the fastest growing genre in the history of the music industry, the problem is, alot of producers have jumped on that bandwagon and have started to produce tunes that are going to appeal to that commercialised side of the industry. skrillex being one of them. his old electro is sick, but ive never liked his dubstep. its not about acting as though i know everything about the industry and therefore im cool, i just dont like people saying they like dubstep because they think its cool to like it. i dunno if youre from america or whatever but over here in england theres been an influx of jack wills wearing pricks at raves who say they love dubstep but dont actually know shit about it or the history behind it. and you can spot them from a mile away cos when you ask them who they like the most they say skrillex, mt eden, flux pavillion, nero etc. i saw nero live in march 2010 and i still maintain they played one of the best sets ive ever seen. but if you compare the music they produce now to their songs like innocence, act like you know, this way etc, its a completely different genre. im not saying people shouldnt go to raves unless they know everything about the industry, but theres a huge amount of people who have heard one or two tunes by nero and skrillex and therefore call themselves darrrbstep fans. its part of the reason i dont like most dubstep anymore. not because of the people who listen to it, but cos of the quality of music being produced. just my opinion

stupid would be the wrong word actually. i might sound like an asshole, but my opinion has truth behind it whereas all youve achieved is casually attempted to insult me. if youre going to contribute, say something intelligible please

I'm not gonna stop liking Skrillex's music just because it also appeals to people that I don't wanna rave with, doesn't seem like a good enough reason to me. I think his musics dope and love listening to it, fuck what other people think. haha.

i couldnt give a flying fuck. im putting my opinion out there and if you dont like it, fair. but saying i sound like an idiot is childish and pathetic. but then the majority of people on this site are under the age of 16 so i cant expect much. the fact of the matter is. skrillex electro=sick, skrillex dubstep=wank. and im not the only one that thinks so. its a very simple concept. if you know more about dubstep than what the radio has taught you, you wont like skrillex. because there are a million better songs produced by other artists than any dubstep song that skrillex has produced. look at ruffneck. a commercial attempt to entice the masses on what a generic dubstep tune might sound like. doesnt make it a good tune. ill argue this all day seein as noone so far has come up with a valid reason why skrillex is a good dubstep producer

“I think the dubstep that has come over to the US, and certain producers-- who I can't even be bothered naming-- have definitely hit upon a sort of frat-boy market where there's this macho-ism being reflected in the sounds and the way the music makes you feel. And to me, that is a million miles away from where dubstep started. It's a million miles away from the ethos of it. It's been influenced so much by electro and rave, into who can make the dirtiest, filthiest bass sound, almost like a pissing competition, and that's not really necessary. And I just think that largely that is not going to appeal to women. I find that whole side of things to be pretty frustrating, because that is a direct misrepresentation of the sound as far as I'm concerned.” -- James Blake

thank you for the helpful input. now tell me, is that because you dont have the wit or intelligence to say something half interesting or because you had to go fetch another towel for your vagina?

^^Anangrytomato, that was unbelievably horrid. Please, do us all a favour and never try to produce anything again. Ever. You're dragging the genres name through mud.

I don't know if there's any good Dubstep songs to ski to, but this song towing a Pro wakeboarder, behind a Pro wakeboat on my birthday at sunset over glassy water with the speakers cranked last summer was killer.

This is also one my more recent favs. Idk if it counts as dubstep but check it out anyways. (Once you get past the prelude it gets pretty ill.)
