Skimovies to Europe

I live in Norway and im gonna order wild stallions but as im not old enough to order it myself my mum has to put it on her card. But she wanted to know if it will come in the right format or area code or whatever its called. In other words im wondering if i can watch it on a dvd player here in Norway?

American ski movies are made in NTSC format Norway uses the PAL format of Europe so it is unlikely you will be able to play Wild Stallions or any other American ski moves with your DVD player. You can watch it on your computer though.

i've got a lot of MSP dvd's from the US shipped to europe(Belgium) and they all work perfectly....no special format needed...

see if you can find a Norwegian distributor would be easier and probably will tell you what movies will work in your dvd player and what youll have to play on your pc.

I got Head for the Hills last season, along with Slamina and Road to Knowhere and they all worked fine in the UK.

I have loads of movies that have been sent over from the States and work fine on PAL/other region DVD players. You should be fine.

VHS used to give problems sometimes, with pall/ntsc, but most modern DVD's work just fine anywhere around the globe....

All Level 1 movies have worked fine but for some reason Happy Dayz and Session 1242 were in black and white. Otherwise, no problems.

Worse comes to worse, rip the DVD and re-encode it for PAL. It's straight forward. You can find out how to do it by searching google for "convert NTSC to PAL DVD".

It will be region free and as far as I know the ski dvds are both PAL and NTSC. So you should have no problems!
You may have to pay more for import tax/customs duty as it's coming from America. To avoid that may I suggest getting it from a European store. Here a few (including mine):

ive ordered yeah dude and PNW from amazon.com, and i live in germany. it worked in every dvd player i have tried to watch and my PS2. so i think it should work.

maybe just order an older one, like 2 year old, think u can get them for like 2 dollars, and try if it works. if it does, then you can buy more expensive ones

If it doesn't work, most of the really cheap DVD players, like 20$ ones play both NTSC and PAL. Cause I remember when I got Magic Moves it was in PAL cause they were having trouble converting it. It didn't play on any of my DVD players except for this cheap little one we had around the house...
