i do when i go to the beach i did a 1080 you no when u go mad fast put ur arm down and u just naturally spin, but i was doing a 7 once and messed up and it twisted my knee it sucked

yeah...we bought these wooden boards in york beach,ME...they have a great flex and cost 20$ the best i did was a 7 i think and then the 180 sex change thing...i actually did like a safety off a wave...i guess its an andy..in august im gonna try a kickflip to indy

I went skim boarding once... in NH. It was at night though... and it was May 24... and yea... it was Neils board... and I lost it... I felt soo bad. I really sucked too. hmm. that was a weak story.

its allg ood..we met this guy in ME with a 180's board..its sick..i guess theres 2 kinds of skimboarding..one on the beach the regular way and then you can go out onto waves and shit...this board did both..fiberglass...he let us use it and the thing flew

yeah i went up to york beach and skimboarded for a week to, its hella fun... especially cause the sand is so flat there.... We also made up this hugeeeeee sand tennis game, we had like 20 man tournaments it got really intense, like we had over 50 people watching, the sand is so flat there the ball would fly... ahhh those were the good days lol

i sucked, i made one. it actually worked pretty good. but i suck at skimboardn. one time i hit a wave and i like got air and landed and stopped dead. it hurt to fall.

 
ok, just to give some info

there are three types of skimming

1. sand surfing, really shallow water usually done with a small board

2.(the kind i do) cross-surfing shallow water/deep water airing and riding waves

3. Deep Water, which is done on a long surfboard shaped heavy board

First you need a fiberglass board to do it right and it should be about 4 feet tall.

You throw the board ojn the sand and its best done at shorebreaks where when you hit the water you ride into the wave and turn and ride the wave in.

I just got a new Victoria board. I havn't used it yet cuz' i just had surgery but i can't wait. I skim on Lake Michigan and it usually sucks but when it get stormy it can be pretty good.

LAKESURF.com has a lot of skim pictures from Lake Michigan if you do some searching in the forum. I have seen people do flips and some other off-axis tricks on skim boards before, it is sick.

yeah seattle skim boarding is kinda the idea , but you use less water for the 'easy' stuff that you use a wood board for. and once you spend to much time doing it you can buy a fiberglass board that floats over deep water, out to a breaking wave, you surk it or jump it, then skim back in. i just skim the beach and tiny waves. i ride a victoia 90cm

skimming is like my replacement for skiing in the summer... as for someone who said it was cheap its not if u want aboard that can hold someone over 140 pounds they're around 150-200 mine was 200.. i can do shuv its sexchange/body varial thing shuvits off of waves and some big spins but yeah i saw a vid of some guys goin out into waves and surfing them in it was crazy but i like more ground stuff
