i broke my leg last year skimboarding. i thought i was awesome and tried to do like a 720 shove-it, and landed with my leg bent sideways kinda

 
we inaugurated our skimboarding rail last saturday, it was quite fun, except I almost broke my face on it. Pond skimming is dope.

Gravity sucks

yea i have a couple skimboards, losing interest in it but it's fun to fuck around with nonetheless. i have a zap comp e-glass

i tried that up in michigan with my friend carl, and the newt day i hurt in places i didn't know you could hurt in... great fun though.

i did it for almost 2 weeks with some guys i met while on vacation.. it was pretty fun.. by the time i left i coud do 3s consistantly .. but damnn falling hurt like hell.. i got sooo scratched n cut up..

 
you can skim on wet sand, shallow water, or shorebreak, but wood boards suck for riding waves. Its really easy, and falling isn't that painful, the sand cushions you(or gives you massive burns), and the only bad thing is getting hit in the ankles with a wooden board... Rotations are really easy too, ollieing is the hardest thing i've learned so far, but not so hard...

skimboarding is NOT just the gay riding on the wet sand shit. real skimboarding is planing out to waves and riding them back in, and its super fun. i have a Vic poly vac, its sick

yeah everybody thinks skimming is just stupid ass sand skimming and the videos on here dont make it look better, i have a large zap comp and a medium wedge, but i can use both cuz i only weigh 130

I have a skimboard which i TRY to use. The reason i say try is because i am wicked uncoordinated, and the baod is warped at about a 90 degree angle.

i tried skimboarding one time when i was in florida it was dope but i live in montana so that just sucked

i have a Zap comp e-glass board, and yea skimboarding is sick but not just sliding across sand, it's all about skimming out to waves and riding them back in. If there are no waves, it's also fun to be towed by a jetski along the shore in the skim, i went for a couple miles and got going really fast, so that's also fun to try.

skimboarding is only a good thing to do if you live in a lake. if youre a beach skimmer, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME FOR? i dont get it. just go surfing!

^well what if there's a beach without waves??? Duhhhh, then you cant surf so you sandskim, and whoever said it was gay is absolutely wrong, its like comparing west coast skiing to east coast, I could brag about it even more, but we have ramps, rails, and make really cool setups, because we got nothing else to ride.
