yea skimboarding is so sick! ive been doing it for about 2 years now. its probably my favorite sport besides skiing

haha I just got back from my first time skimboarding of the year it was good but it got cold and windy and I was freezing like never before (you could see the fresh snow on the local mountains)

Victoria skimboards made me my own board. its carbon fiber and its all green. it cost the same as it would to but it at a reg. store which is pretty sick

I made my own board it costs like 30 bucks instead of 120 or sumthing, cdn that is.

yea i have this skimboarding video and its so sick the things that they are doing... this one guy was doing cork 5s of the lip of the wave, stomping them, and riding the wave back in... major props to them

i live in santa cruz, CA and we have the world skim contests here every summer. this beach, Windnsea, is supposedly the best skimming beach in the world. its right by pleasure point. skimming is fun but i'd rather surf.

me and my cousins used to skim board, but we weren't very good. It was always tons of fun though, except when i fell on my face.

 
i got a board, it was like $75, but really really good. it was like zaft or zorf or something with a Z. the only problem is, i got a crack in the top. im afriad to put it in the water, because obviously water will go in and fuck it up. i dont know how to close it up.

anyways, its so sick. except when you hit hard.

i dont really know how to do it, but we have one and its fun to tool around on, i just sorta run with it and toss it on the bout 6 inch water and then ride it out till i stop moving... anyone have any tips?

 
my basement flooded today cuz the power went out nd the pump cut off, so it had 3 inches of water in it, yeah, i went skimming.

well 1st tip....6 inches is way too much when u jump on cos there will be too much drag and will slow u riiiight down....about 1 inch or less is good

 
skimming rocks, especially if you're at a beach with no waves... or it's really really cold... skimming in your basement is funny but skimming in a parking lot is kinda sketchy.

My friend broke his leg a few years ago skimboarding. I guess he got his foot stuck in the sand or something and his other foot just kept on going on the board and twisted it alot.

 
i rented a skimboard in mexico. i had never used one and i have never seen one being used. i tried to run and put it under my feet but it was hard. skimboarding sucks. surfing is where its at.

fuckker, skim boarding is soooo funn, except after you fall and get sand down your trunks, then after you run for a while to get some speed you get crazy chaffage. your payin the next day, can barely move. overall skimming's greatttt

we got bored in texas - or maybe we were drunk a few weeks ago on vacation so we bought some tow ropes and tied them to the back of my jeep- then we towed another person on the skim board- we were able to ride for like 10 mins! it fuckin hurt when you fell though- sand sucks at human speed at 25 mph its way worse!

 
to fix that crack, get a fiberclass repair kit. mix up the resin and put it over a sheet of fiberglass cut to fit over the crack. then use the goop (hardens REAL quick) over it fast. i forget what the stuff is called but you can but little kits at surfshops for ding repair. or you can always jam surf wax in it and cover it with duct tape.

also, you have to have waves to skim. thats what puskes the water up ont he beach, unless youre skimming a pond or something...
