when using my skill saw should i let go of the button before i pull it back up or wait till its all the way out?

im not really sure what youre asking, but i think it would be best the run the blade throughout the cut. itll look cleaner

pin the gaurd with a pencil or a stick. anything that will come out easily and possibly while you're cutting will do. then cut something at an awkward angle over your head.
you can also use electrical tape to hold the trigger down.
