Skill plateau boredom, skiing not as fun

Last season I was obsessed with skiing, I think it was because I’m new and was learning so much stuff.

Now idk… I can slide different kinds of rails and do stuff like 270s off, 180s and 360s on jumps. I would obviously like to learn more tricks but they seem harder to achieve now.

And honestly I feel like even if I land or learn a new trick it’s not gonna stoke me out as much as last season. What do I do

It will, dude landing new tricks is insane like imagine doing something that you couldn’t do before and then you kee doing that and you make a season edit and you compare it with the one you hopefully made from the year before and you can literally visualize your improvement as a skier it’s wild trust

You’re at bear right?

If you can find some sick terrain, skiing some dicey stuff always brings back the passion. Love me some big mountain and off piste. Park can get frustrating and too much of one thing at times. Love to rip around in dicey stuff throwing airs and getting my heart racing. Bonus fun if I almost biff it but save it

My personal advise is to keep doing what you’ve been doing and it will get easier and more fun. Being able to do tricks with 0 effort is the nicest feeling. And when you go to try more tricks it will come easier as the steps to it have beeen mastered.

You better learn some new tricks before vishnu revokes your sponsorship

Fr though just get creative. Add style to what you already got. Get swervy. Find difficult lines. Do the tricks you can do just on bigger features. Find an appreciation for carving (this will help with skiing park, trust me). Just have fun ?

If you can 3 a jump why can't you 4 out of a rail?

Nosebutter 3?

Butter 2 onto a rail?

Tail press?

Nose press?

Fastslide?

Backslide?

alley-oop 5050?

Fuck it, ski slide? Switchups into ski slide?

All relatively basic tricks that you still have yet to learn. Have you even done frontflip or backflip? Try flatspin too maybe?

Use your head man

Buy really fucking long skis, learn to carve GS, learn to tuck properly, and scare the fuck outta yourself

That should get your attention

Ski with a group. Even if it's not in the park skiing behind a few people that are better then you is fun. Find cool lines, different ways to hit stuff, or even just try something new to get there back

Nothing brings the stoke back more than skiing with a group that just the tinyest bit better than you at everything.

Get out of the park. Rip bumps or gates or rock bands or trees. Too much of one thing always gets boring.

Just to reiderate skiing with your friends is the vibe. Large or small crowd share the experience with homies will help. The right homies can allow for gas vibes anywhere.

Oh good, you've finally realized you're only into skiing for the social media fame and don't really care about skiing just like 99% of the gen-z piece of shit gapers that now flood our sport.

Learn to do unnat tricks. I had the same prob couple szns ago. Learning to do more unnat shit changed my life its way more fun spinning both ways in a line and you learn it twice as fast if u can do the trick natty already. Also if ur skiing park all day gtfo there and rip something else for a while. Or maybe u just came off of skiing everyday on Christmas break. I love skiing but I can’t ride everyday it gases me out

Well duh, you're just bored because you haven't experienced The 540. The 540 is timeless, effortless, and has unlimited potential. You can spin it, cork it, flip it, double flip it, switch it, etc. You can probably even cure cancer with it. Trust me SkiBlade420, the road off the plateau you're is only accessable with The 540 Go learn one, The 540 won't let you down!
