what is the average ski level there?

Jesus saves!

Gretzky gets the rebound. he feeds the puck to LeClair. he shoots! he scores! the crowd goes wild

Don't be intimidated at camp or try to show off. You are there to have fun. Anyways, there are many, many, many different skill levels there.

so it would still be cool if someone could only do boxes/3's and basic grabs? ive wondered about this myself, thats why i havent gone for the past 2 summers.

I ski Killington

College passes are awesome

Yeah, that sucks you didn't go because of that reason. You're there to learn and no one is gonna be a dick to you. It's a pretty chill thing to do.

If you are easily intimidated and shy then ski camp is prolly not for you. But if you know how to shut out that stuff and have fun go for it. It'll be the best experience ever, even if you don't learn anything.

Its too bad a lot of kids go and they just sit at the picnic tables all day doing nothing, cause they are intimidated or scared.

i went to camp and was throwing 90 foot switch unnaty cork 7s and everybody gave me shit because i sucked. dont go to camp, youll get beat up.

There are some really shitty skiers at ski camp but nobody cares. I would give an example but it would kill the kid if he saw my post. but just imagine not having any timing (not even knowing when to pop or rotate), no minijib its not you. Even if you are terrible you will get way better and nobody will even say anything.

in my session two years ago there was a kid who had never spun a 3 over anything and couldnt slide rails or boxes...

There was a kid at my camp that said something like 'yea i pretty much got straight airs down on the medium jump' medium jump=30 ft.

'Split ends, out until I can get more Pantine Pro-V.'

i went to HN last year and i wasnt good at all, no joke.. i could barely do 3's and i was ok at rails but that's it. i wasnt intimidated by the other skiers cause most of em were cool. but i was frustrated cause 1/2 of the stuff i wasnt too uber excited about trying.. but i had a lot of fun. i reccomend being a good skier and be able to do at least a 3 or 5, and rail experience or else its hard to learn, especially 3's i mean the coaches were so nice, i just needed to pick it up on my end

Turtle: Fuck you guys, I told you 10,000 fucking times, she had food poisoning!-Entourage HBO

i was at momentum this year and the skill level ranges from just beginning 3's and rails to throwing switch corks and things like that. i don't think anyone was intimidated unless they got in a group that was above there level

yeah, sometimes the coaches seem like more helpful when you actually know how to do the tricks but you need help perfecting them or learning the next trick up.

i'm glad someone made a thread about this cause i've been wondering. like, i suck but i still wanna go to camp to see if it'll help and stuff, but i'm pretty self conscious when i ski

my mom has like 15 prada bags........ ATLANTASKI

i've seen alotta real good bitches go down

I really want to go, but i am worried about the cost, like getting there is no problem, because i live in seatlle, about 4 hours from whistler and 3 from hood, but I'm not exactly sure of the cheapest session, and the sort. And high north doesn't have any prices or anything. Any info would be appreciated

it doesnt matter if your good or not, everyone just has a ton of fun. Yes, there will be some really good skiers but there will also be some really bad skiers. Just enjoy yourself, its hard not to.

definitely dont miss out on camp because you're nervous of making a fool of yourself. there are always gonna be better and worse people than you out there. but no one cares. its the best week or two of your life. trust me.

It doesn't matter how good you are! The coaches are there to get you more confident on the features, you could show up not being able to clear a table and still have an AWESOME time.

it doesnt matter how good you are you just pay and get some quality coaching.

'this is just like sex, only im having it!'

^I agree with that, you go there to learn and leave with guidance to advance and become better. the staff know what they are doing and know that even if you aren't good when you arrive that you will have the skills to become a better skier after the experience. so if you can flip the bills to go, just do it .
