Skiings role models

Does skiing have any really good role models? I know it's not the skiers responsibility to be a good role model, but it would still be nice to be able to look up to someone not only for their skiing ability, but also their character or good work that they do. Do any of the pros do stuff like charity work or anything cool like that?

marc andre belliveau maybe? pretty much the greatest inspiration ever.

i believe sammy c donated all his winnings to an event a while back to charity, can't remember the event or charity though. maybe stand strong again but not sure...

Marc Andre is a real inspriation to recover from such an incident in anyway is amazing and his skiing before and after the incident DAMN MATE, SHITS GOOD! Eric Pollard is also an inspiration. NOW  END OF THREAD.

i dont reckon they should be considered as 'role models' as such. Even all the top pros are still skiers, and still wanna live a pretty normal social life... like skiing is, ski, drink, sleep.....

id say dumont. he seems like a nice guy, hes amazing at skiing, he has his own business, and he goes to places like target house to be with kids who are disabled or sick

"jon's a pretty conservative guy... you don't see him out at the bars partying too much... he's pretty on it"

"Did you see my 720"

Kidding, but Jon is solid, and Marc Andre is a role model for every person on this planet.

None of the kids who are respected on this website are decent role models.

Most of the good skiers on this website (I'm not going to mention names) openly use drugs and party and are generally bad influences.

seth morrison is my role model. he might not be a good one but if you ever met him (haha yes claim) you would realize how fucking awesome and nice he is. plus he is badass.

i look up to eric pollard. i think that anyone who does there own thing instead of following a trend is a good role model in that sence.

What about Seth? I don't really know much about him, just what I read in skeeze. Heli crash, pretty crazy stuff

QTF

Boyd Easley for sure. Every time I see a segment of his I just getted pumped and excited to have fun skiing. The guy looks like he's enjoying himself way too much when he's skiing, like gonz in video days or something. Boyd's always been my favorite skier and forever will be.

Mr. Harvey. he may or may not donate to charities, but think of all the time, effort, etc... he donated to NS in the early days just because of a love of skiing. spending all that time, money, resources, etc.. just to allow other freestyle ski enthusiasts to enjoy the sport in a community definatley shows selflessness and singularity of purpose. role model material.

Uh i don't know i don't really have a skiing role model maybe JP or Eric Pollard they just seem like really cool guys outside of skiing especially EP he just seems like he has a good life going, skiing doing art and just chillin.

Eric Pollard is the dude I aspire to be. Chill, great artist, great skier.

Marc Andre is my inspiration. Jon Olsson is at the opposite end of the spectrum from Pollard (Jon being the icon he is in Sweden) but I think he handles it very well and seems like a great guy in general.
