Skiing without snow?

Hey guys, not sure if theres a post somwhere else about this, direct me if there is but i have been trying to think of ways to ski when i get my new skis. Things to use for run ins and run outs for rails etc.. i read somwhere that carpet with a bunch of detergent and water can do the trick? any other cheap ideas?

The rest of you go shove the search bar up your ass. I have 3 posts to my name and if i had put 'skiing without snow' in the search bar it wouldn't have come up with a thing. I've been mountain biking for the past 4years and dont know any ski lingo, i had no idea summer set ups existed so the search bar would have been no help to me. I understand people get frustrated when new people come to a forum but isnt that the idea behind a forum, a place where people go to ask questions and get advice.

I realy appreciate those of you who are nice to new memebers such as myself, its those of you who give forums such as this a good reputation.

Haha fuck yea man, there are some assholes on this site for sure. It takes the same amount of time to type "Build a jib cult" as it does to type "Searchbar you noob." Plus telling new members to search is real 2008.

Oops, forgot some information.

Materials that work well:

Orange snow fence

Astro turf with soap and water

A ladder with PVC pipe rungs (look in build a jib cult for a pic)

Real snow from an ice rink is fucking prime

Make sure your transition at the bottom the the drop in isnt a really sharp angle, it will kill any speed you have.
