Skiing with your parents

i usually take a few laps with my parents every time they take me up, they really enjoy skiing with my brother and me, and i have no objections to making them feel happy.

then we ditch them and go ski

ya my dad tried to take a picture of me skiing but theres a branch right in front of my face. he though it was cool because it had nature in it

My dad gets OK action shots when I wreck really hard but for some reason always misses the good shots where I don't fuck up. I think he is conspiring against me.

my dad does NOT understand the function of a zoom lens.... for some reason the concept escapes him. therefore the shots always end up with a TON of trees and snow, and then just a little tiny midget, namely me, skiing.

Same with me. The best pic I have of me (which I can no longer find) was from my race coaching days when I was cranking a turn in a GS course on K2 Seths and all you see was the giant rooster tail and spray of snow. But, I look like the size of an ant.

I ski with my dad a lot. I just hit the groomers with him, but we'll take a few runs through the park here and there.

My dad is the reason im such a good skier i am today. He taught me the basics and now i've passed him in ability level and im the one teaching him. We never ski park though. He actually takes decent pictures of me too.

my mom likes to see what tricks my brother and i can do off the "jumps and stuff" and my dad will usually hit some of the smaller jumps for some fun. typical day of skiing with parents only has 2 or maybe 3 park runs but mostly just goofing around on blues and greens and teaching my mom (she is just starting to put her skis on edge and let them do the work instead of her)

My mom doesn´t ski just because she is scared shitless, but i ski with my dad when we can. Even though his better then me i still tought him to ride a box and some small jumps but no cliffs yet, pretty good for a 57 year old.

my dad doesn't ski anymore. he's fat, lazy, and doesn't do much of anything.

my mom on the other hand though. she's the one who first got my dad into skiing. truly passionate about the sport.

when i was still living back in Ontario I'd ski with her the odd run... she's really fast on the groomers, sometimes beating me down. Once she wanted me to teach her how to hit the park jumps. She didn't have the guts to hit the bigger jumps and overall thought the impacts of the landing where too hard so decided it wasn't for her. I've always wanted to get her out west to ski some powder... one day.

As I said though, she's a skier. at the age of 56 she decided to be a lifty. she also took up mountain biking at 55, became certified to be a physical trainer at 54... my mom is cool.

my mom isnt a huge skier, shes always cold and whines the whole time. no fun, but she likes taking my pictures.
my dad however, is pretty much the man. He taught me how to ski and absolutely destroys pow and moguls. My freshman year he took me to jackson hole and skiing the hobacks with him was by far the best run of my life. Ill always love skiing with my dad.

I love skiing with my mom, we're about the same skill level and it's always a good time talking on the lift, racing down, or just whatever. I love spending time with my mom, and she loves skiing, so it's such a blast to hang out every now and then. So I let her pick all the runs, it's a good time no matter where we go. She told me that next year she'd take me out west to ski, I'm so fucking pumped already. My dad skied a few days a few years ago, but he fell and broke his collar bone at age 49, so he didn't really heal all that well and now he just doesn't want to hurt himself again. He's happy to drive me to and fro the hill though.
I love my parents.

my dad likes moguls so i ski them with him. and my mom skis down the side of the park and watches me hit stuff. i like skiing with my parents. good quality time

When i ski with my dad we ski everything except park... which isn't bad its nice to get some regular turns everyone once in a while

I love skiing with my dad just to spend time with him the few times i'm around in winter, especially donning some AT gear and hiking around beautiful sun valley mountains

Parents in the Park: Skiing with my friend at Silverstar (sick park) We'd been hitting it all day without anyone else there, when my mom gets all nervous all of a sudden and gets my dad to go into the park with us. He ended up hitting a jump on box and landing it pretty clean. Decided to hit a hip jump, but didn't know quite how to land, and got a compound francture straight through his shin... Reaaallly sucked.

I'm glad my parents shred. I ski with them a fair amount. I've recently gotten better than my dad, he's 55. He still hucks huge cliffs. Last year he went out to Europe with a bunch of his friends to ski, and the found this pretty big booter going over a cattrack into powder, and he was hitting that. It was a good 60 foot booter. He also likes hitting the jumps in the park, he just never does tricks.

My mom will ski anywhere my dad and I go, she just doesn't relly hit big cliffs, or jumps.

Well my parents are groomer skier, who sometimes venture into moguls. They never go in the park even to watch me, let alone take pics, when were at a mountain they tell me to get out of the park, and to enjoy groomers and just carve. These parents also ask everyday for me to join ski racing, because park skiing isn't an olympic sport

my dad is an awesome skier and loves hiking and skiing pow with me. On the other hand my mom is from Florida and hates snow and cold.

my dad will go down the park with me as long as we do the runs he wants and if i see a park i say hey im gunna go down this meet u at the lift or something like that

he likes 2 watch me when theres no a lot of people in the park like on weekdays and stuff

and when he wants to do groomers then i just practice going switch and do butters on the hills that could b small rollers

atleast u got out of school 2 go skiing though

and about wat u said about the thing when u snowboarded.. parents kno thats wat boarders do but my parents didnt get park skiing until i explained it to them so maybe she thinks that skiers shouldnt do jumps and rails or something... especially when she doesnt go much and isnt up to date on the skiing scene

my dad goes to the park with me all the time, he'll hit every jump under 20ft unless it's a tabletop, than he hits anything, and he slides straight off every box

i don't mind skiing with my dad. he's a solid blue and black skier, so i don't mind all that much. my mom is terrible, so i don't really like skiing with her

but my uncle rips, he shreds on groomers, bumps and glades. i haven't seen him in powder, but he talks about it all the time.

since im in the midwest theres not much to ski here other than park, so i drive down to ski park with just my friends as often as i can and my parents never come with, but we take trips out west at least twice a year and we normally stay for 5ish days, four of which i ski the pow and groomers with them sometimes break off and hit some park if its on the way, and one sometimes two days depending on the park i just go alone and do whatever. my parents liked watching me ski park sometimes just to see what ie been up to but after i screwed up my shoulder last weekend theyve been all but for me park sking

same here, my dad used to hit the jumps with me, until me tore his knee pretty bad. But at my mountain the park is one of the easiest runs if you don't hit the features, so my parents or gf can ride through just fine, while i hit stuff.

Out west I ski with my parents for a couple days and ski pow and hard terrain, but my parents don't even bother skiing the Midwest anymore

me and my brother got my dad to hit a backcountry jump we made once, he boosted probably 15 feet or so. he hit knuckle but it was pow so it didnt matter. also he skis switch on groomers with his tele skis
