music definately relaxes the body while pumping up your mind which makes you forget your fears and just ski better period.

I love it. i dont listen to rock anymore tho, i like to listen to rap and hip hop, rock just got me 2 nervous or something.

'WHAT THE WTF?!?!!?' -Armada420

I guess music helps people get pumped, but I don't normally listen to music when I ski. I find it's too much of a distraction... plus, I sesh with friends who I'm always talking to.

All listen to is Modest Mouse and hip hop, its the shit when your shreding down 2 feet of powder listening to 'Float On'

music helps me relax and have fun out there and not worry about anything else.

I love riding by myself in the park and just cruisin with the jams

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

For Powder I listen to anything by RJD2. For Pipe I listen to Statik. For all around mountain skiin' go listen to 70's rock, and for rails and park I listen to soundtrack music from ski movies, because listening to the music from movies like Red Tape and X=ten reminds me of watching the movie, which gets me amped to ski.

^^^^^^I agree. Intrumentals are much better for skiing. They feel more artistic, deep, and it's like you get sucked into the beat.

yea i like to be aware of my surroundings too..... if i do listen, I only have one ear to the music

I like music..but then when you get on the lift with other people and they wanna talk to you and shit you gotta turn all your shit off..which can be troublesome. And then you miss it if people try to talk to you when you are riding..like waiting in line to hit a table or something. Its sick, but it sort of alienates you from everyone.
