you cant really classify all snowboarders and all skiers into seperate groups, there are always some boarders who think boarding is better and some skiers who think sking is better. in the end it comes down to the rider, if you're a douche you're a douche, it doesnt matter whether you're on skis or a board.
pipe isn't the only thing that skiers can be more mad. in big air skiers are so much more mad the snow boarders. i dont think that any snow boarder can do a switch 1440 like TJ.
yeah man you are totally right skiing is starting to pass snowboarding up even though the average person doesn't know it. Tanner did switch 10 to regular 10 of course the switch ten had no style. I think it is so awesome that like back in 2000 a 9 was considered a big trick in the pipe. Even from last year to this year the skiers pipe runs got better like simons 12 Pete's double flip and tanner's switch 10, while snowboarding didn't really change. It is pretty obvious that skiing is proggressing faster than snowboarding now but since neither snowboarding or skiing get very much media attention and snoboarding gets more of that the public doesn't even realize what is going on inside the skiing community. Maybe in 15 years from now skiing will be cool again. It will literally take that long if the pros don't find a way to make skiing look cool to the average person who probably doesn't even know what a twin tip ski is.
but its not even technical shit on rails, its the attitude and style on rails. fuckin big flexy press on a snowboard beats a 45-45 anyday. pretzels are fuckin sick, but still.
I agree that the feud between snowboarindg and skiing is stupid but I don't think its all skiers, I think there's a minority, thats pretty equal, between snowboarders and skiers, no one Ik cares whether or not you ski or snowboard
i think skiiers and snowboarders should just ski and board together because it looks preetty sick together. i saw this comp on tv called spine or somtin and it was a team of 5 and theyy were both skiers and boarders. i think we should see more of this and it will help both our sports move forward because we can learn stuff from each other
