Skiing Video Game?

First off, I searchbarred this and only found response for like online ski games so yeah.

Anyways does anyone know if theres like xbox 360 freestyle skiing games that are more realistic than like ssx tricky and shit, more along the lines of shaun white snowboarding type game. If not, why the fuck isnt there?
 
No there really isn't one out there. But there's been endless talk about this on NS

My two cents on the subject.

The sports with the super realistic games like Skate and Stoked had cheesy predecessors to build on. I have a feeling before we even come close to getting a game like Skate for skiing, we're going to have to play some Tony Hawk's
 
skiing in the video game sense is alot like lacrosse or ultimate frisbee. To the true enthusiast it would make a great video game, but it isnt popular enough for a company like EA or Activision to spend time and resources on becuase they are making a huge risk. Basically it comes down to consumers, and they can get more people to buy things that are more mainstream like snowboarding or other sports.
 
/thread and /all future threads on this subject until the game actually comes out....which is most likely won't.

but i hope one does someday!
 
it's just that people would rather play like a skate game or something because there are more people that skate/pretend to.
