Skiing umbrella companies

Ok so im doing a project for Uni on TNCs (transnational corporations). Im interested in using Ski companies as an example of false competition.

I know line is owned by k2, and im looking for other examples of this in the ski industry to use. so could someone who knows anything about this please help? I could spend hours trawling through companies to see if they are connected but thought id ask first.

Thanks alot.

I wasnt sure if this was ski gabber on non ski gabber so...

Line and K2 don't make umbrellas. Why would any ski company make them, I rarely use one for rain.

But seriously, I'd like to know about this stuff as well so I'm just claiming a spot here.

lol knew this would happen. I was going to call the comglomarates but thought it might confuse people... but then the people who know this thing are probably intelligent enough to know what that means. But then its not even a conglomerate because conglomarets are not related in there products... so affiliates? meh.

I always think its good to know who is really getting your money.

Keep going up the chain, all those in addition to Lib Tech and GNU are owned by the BIG parent company called "Mervin Manufacturing"

Turns out this is not true. Mervin was bought by quiksilver in 90s it owned roxy and lib tech and brought them under the quiksilver wing.

lol also rossi is no longer owned by quik so pretty much all the information except FT K2 LINE, is wrong in this thread... fail.

List of outdoor industry parent companies

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following list is of outdoor brands that are owned by another entity. The brands listed are those specific to the outdoor sporting goods industry. Parent companies may own other brands that are not listed because those other brands are not marketed as outdoor sporting goods. Companies and brands that are not subsidiaries of another company are not listed here.
