Skiing two weeks after surgery?

So I had a surgery two weeks ago to have some hardware removed from my ankle, two pins to be precise. I plan on going skiing tomorrow, do you guys think this is too early? I obviously can't wait to go skiing, but I don't want to wreck myself for the season. What do you guys think?

talk to yo doctor. hes gonna say no but see how you feel and take it easy if you are really sure your opinion is better than his

what was the surgery for? What does your doctor recommend? Don't be stupid, you'll just fuck up your ankle more if you jump in too soon.

Take it easy the first few days (maybe film or something) to get your confidence up and see how it feels, and if that goes good then start charging again

I guess you could play it safe if you thought that would be the better option, but generally it seems like when doctors clear you then it's pretty safe to return.

ive had pins out a few times now. Usaully 2-3 weeks was all it took to get back to normal, if you can even get your foot into your boot then you would probably be fine, given that your just going to cruze around. Ask your doctor, if he swears against it, don't do it. But chances are he will just give you a doctorish answer, not directly saying no, but abit hesitant. I'v been there before and it sucks, I skied before i could even walk properly after my last knee surgery.

honestly, just listen to your body and be smart. I would say you are probobly fine skiing, just make sure you ski in a way where you are confident about not falling, and skiing strong.

Listening to your body is so underrated. If it hurts your ankles, just ski super mellow or quit.

Dont do anything stupid. You are still recovering and your body will need time and training before it is back 100% .

I've decided to ski but just take it easy, just slide some rails and have fun and take breaks to film thanks for all the suggestions everyone I appreciate it

It's the moment you say to yourself "god I feel okay, I can walk, ski and shit" that bad things happens. Just wait a little more till you get solid enough. Right now, it might be very fragile and god know how our legs absorb shocks when we ski..
