Skiing tuckerman's 2011?

i'm going either thursday, friday, or saturday next week over vacation. hope there's a jump or something set up cuz i don't want to carry a shovel

Ill be there friday and will plan to build a jump. But everytime ive been to Tux there has already been a jump built so ive never had to

so building jumps is equivalent to being a park rat?
Eric Pollard builds back country jumps and i wouldnt exactly call him a park rat
And i only hit jumps at Tucks when its the end of the day and I have already hiked 4 runs

Hit it up today...prime. You can ski out of the bowl to hermit lake and the sherburne right to the car Have fun friday will be great! note the hiking trail was also snow the whole way.

the only thing that could mess this up is the rain/mix that is going on up there right now. could be bulletproof ice by the time i get up there.

it was so amazing up there today. the hike out of the bowl was super sketch but the snow was really great, kinda powdery at the the upper parts. i wish i lived closer, so fun.

i went up today, the bowl was great, pretty soft, and sherburne was open all the way down, but we had to dismount and walk like 3 or 4 parts, overall its was a great day

Maybe this weekend? supposed to be nice but if it is I have to work :( Or should we wait for next weekend so I can go shoot with meatheads at sugarloaf

i want to go in like late spring or early summer. when will they have no snow left? some one told me july but i dont believe them completlyi also wanted bring a rail i made in my car or build a jump with my friends so i dont need much snow

i am not to sure about this...i went up mid may last year (right around this time) and it was getting slim...snow definitely melting

good shit, skiied left and right gully, the slouse and center ravine. def worth the hike.

and there is still tons of snow in there

Highly doubt that. I was at the loaf for closing day (May 14th I think?) and there wasn't a whole lot up there even then.

hey were u up there on the 30th? i was the kid with a bangs hahaha. cuz im to broke to buy real mtn skiis. first time up there and i skied right gulley. so worth it. best 20 seconds and 8 turns ive ever taken on skis

ha yeah dude i figured u were on NS, tucks is the place to be in the spring. I was the kid in the pink shorts with the go pro. Such a good day

yea d00d you ripped your line. lol it was so much fun. best 20 seconds on skis. ever. i wanna go back up this weekend but only if its a little cooler. the hike killed me... i left my condo at loon weighing 175 i came back weighing 167 lol

thats probably not a good thing. Start your hike at like 8 and then just roast up on the ravine till like 4 and ur hikes wont be as bad. Also stick ur head in the river on the second bridge. That feels amazinggg

hahah yea me and my boarder friend put our head in the water. its so cold for like a second but sooooo nice.... we only stayed up on the ravine for like 2 hours so we didnt rest to much. we also had to be down by 4 30 so we could be back to our condo in time haha so we were a little rushed

next time im gunna just get up early and chill take a few runs eat a ton of sandwiches and then head down around 4 like you said

thats def the way to do it. Just bring a loaf of bread and a hole jar of penut butter and jelly. There wil be snow in there till like halfway through July this year i think

yea thats what im doing next time haha. i think im going not this weekend but the next with one of my friends. cant wait! i got tucks fever lol

no headwall. but everything above lunch rocks is still open... definitely worth it. long hike up but once your up its soooo fun
