First:

http://www.mountwashingtonavalanchecenter.org/

Check that site before heading up. VERY important. As of right now, danger is Considerable and High in all areas with new snow falling on top of bulletproof base.

Bottom-line we need some warmth to consolidate the layers and Mount Washington should be avoided, and there's not much in the 7 day that gives much indication that conditions will improve much in the next week up there.

Second:

Keep your eye on there. Lots of discussion and good information about the area and terrain.

i saw we do it the last weekend in april. just get as many NS'ers as possible and shred tucks

Joey i may be able to do the 23rd, but probably the 30th. or a day close to that with good weather.

I want to get in on this in April or May. Preferrably with someone who has done it before. I feel like its an east coast skiers right of passage and Im not getting any younger.

i was up there yesterday and the conditions are great right now. as for the person that asked about dropable cliffs, there are many in the 10-15 foot range but if you dont stick the landing you will be tumbling for hundreds of feet down the bowl. also about the night time temps this time of year. the day time highs are still hovering around 32 and at night it goes into the upper teens or lower 20's. hopefully its a great spring up there because there is tons of snow right now

hopefully the temps stay above freezing after this rain and everything doesn't turn to bullet proof ice. it should still be good in 2 weeks and the sherburne should still have enough snow to ski most of the way down which makes the day alot nice as opposed to hiking out

should i bring my g/f whos learning to ski? she's got a killer snow plow and can stop with pizza!1!!1 I'm thinking hike the bowl, and then just have her send it. haha Oh, she wants to know when the chairlift starts spinning... lol

seriously though, can't wait to get out there, and that they still have so much snow.
