Skiing too fast?

all I have to say is ski patrollers dont suck nearly as much as people who ski fast and dont pay attention and hurt people. If you were doin it on a non-crowded run then whatever, you can be the judge of that. Then again it's kinda hard to determine who's at fault when a skier going really fast but debateably in control hits a skier who sucks and is cutting across the slope in a pizza pie... skiing as fast as you want is fine as long as you're on black diamonds and shit. anyway, my point was supposed to be i'm sure the ski patroller found you to be in some way endangering someone else so they did their job to keep shit safe at the mountain.
 
that sucks i was told that i wold have my pass taken away then i mentioned a couple of people who worked at the mountain and he backed off
 
So where would you guys be without patrol at your mountain? Oh yeah, you wouldn't even have access to in-bounds terrain. Grow up and quit being so egotistical. If you get a speed warning that is your fault for not being a good enough skier to appear in control. You could also be the dumbass that tries to blow through all the tourists making turns across the whole run. I could go on and on, but I don't think most people will realize all that they do for you.

Bottom line: The patrollers don't want to take the time to talk to some arrogant teenage kid that thinks they own the hill, they would rather be out skiing.
 
go fast in places ment for going balls out

take two turns down the cirque and see if anyone bothers you (snowbird) rip fast turns down the shoulder or just anywhere on baldy and see if people bother you

going fast down a green or blue, isnt "cool" its not even really that fun.
 
most of them are volunteers just trying to hook up a cheap pass and get some emt experience in the process. It's all down to the individuals, the one's I know don't see themselves as cops of the mountain. Obviously some do. They get annoyed that idiots hurt themselves constantly in the park by leaving their common sense at home. Even still though, no one deserves to get bitched at for doing nothing wrong.
 
You have the right to make that judgement when you start working with the patrollers. Until then, please don't make baseless judgements of them.
 
Yeah I get yelled at more than once a season about skiing out of control aka switch on a green run with no people on it. But they have to do it, because you're liable to the resort, and if you hit someone going switch, and much less sprain their wrist, they can sew the resort for a shit ton.
 
Just ski faster than the ski patrol can. They can never yell at you that way. PS I have never beeen yelled at by the ski patrol because I fuckingah kill it.
 
ski racers are funny becuase they think they own the mt in a way that they just talk loud on the chair and yell to their lil buddy whose 5 chairs in front of them but i like talking to them cuz their so confident with themselves i like to just play along.
 
if it was safe and there were on peps around its cool with me to go as fast as you want. other wish there just giving you a hard time!
 
baseless judgements? These fucking old as farts just ski around, get crunk and yell at little kids for having fun. This one guy got in my face last year because i supposbly cut somebody off which i dont remember but its possible. I dont know who he thought he was but i yelled right back at him, he just gave up. He tried being cool didnt work, he would jump on any occasion to yell at some kid who cant stand up for themselves.
 
See, that's exactly my point. Little fuckers like you who think they're the shit and own the mountain make patrol's job a lot harder than it needs to be. Do you really think they want to talk to a self-centered asshole? No, they have much better things to do than acknowledge you. A patroller is not going to take time out of their day to get attitude from some punk kid. Seriously, grow up and quit enforcing everybody's stereotypes of teenagers. Patrollers are out there to keep the mountain safe and help you out, and you can be sure if you get hurt the guy you chewed out is not going to step out of his way for you. So in conclusion, get off your high horse and come back down to earth, you're just another pain in the ass for somebody who works way too hard for the money they make.

But word, i dont really care, every patrol ive met or digger has been chill as shit or nice. Always start convos on the lift and no about ski academys and all that newschool stuff.

These two old guys were shaping the park by hand and i skiied down and gave them a suggestion and they did it. Then they waited around to see if everybody liked it.

 
first of all buddy, i'm not even a little kid. I got yelled at for something i didnt even do, and i hate those little snowboarder punks who are always getting yelled at, its as if the ski patrol are babysitters. I know they are taking protecting the mtn seriously but they are way too power hungry. End of story.
 
i got my pass clipped for skiing to fast...and where i ski there is 2 hills...but there is like 15 people on the snow patrol...or wat ever you call it
