Skiing too fast?

so yesterday up at my mountain me and some friends were skiing. there were a few fucking race kids who were giving us a hard time because we skied. since our park isnt set up yet, we decided to just race them. we killed them and a ski patrol followed us and threatened to take away our season passes for going too fast. i would understand if we were out of control but we definately were in total control. i hate ski patrols.

yeah. but no one else was on the run we were on except a few boarders at the bottom. and yesterday there was hardly anyone at my hill. i still say ski patrols suck.

they do suck but as much as we hate them...they need to keep the mountain safe for new skiers.

Yeah at my mountain they just passed a rule saying we could not ski backwards at the base. This is at attitash.

like 9 years ago when blue mountain just opened for the winter (the actual date was x-mas eve) my buddy and I were night skiing, it was the first day of the year so we were fuckin' around, and rippen down the runs. one run we are intercepted in the liftline by a ski partroler who takes us aside and gives us this huge lecture about skiing fast and both threatens to take our tickets away and wishes us a merry x-mas at the same time...

i've also had ski patrol at blue mountain hit me in the lift line and try to get mad at me for it. it was fucked.

hate, hate, hate, hate!!!

i've never had problems with ski patrol out here in b.c. it's only the ontario ski patrol that suck ass in my experience. it's ok though 'cause the ski patrol in ontario are the worst skiers on the hill anyways.

I have been kicked off of two different mountains for skiing switch too fast, the one time the patroller couldnt catch me til I stopped at the chair, he comes up all huffing and puffing from being outta shape and proceeds to tell me that I was skiing out of control and I need to leave the mountain or risk losing my pass, fucking Northstar...

yeah like i could understand it if it was a busy day.. but not when hardly no ones there and ur in control... theres times to not go fast and time it doesnt matter and it seems like that was a time that it didnt matter, they shouldnt of said nothing to u but like just make sure ur in control or something but not to say were going to take ur pass...

use poles

haha well if you can outrace racers, you can for sure get away from ski patrol.

guess that depends on the mountain though.

at my mountian its not so much the ski patrol...but the fucking ambassadors....those assholes think they are all high and mighty for no reason. they suck so much. they are volunteers who dont even get a season pass. they get a ticket for the day. plus they look like idiots with thier bright yellow jackets

the ambassadors at loon are so fucking annoying. I for yelled at by one of them every day I was at loon last year. they all suck at skiing too! it's an outrage!

i had this same problem with safety patrol a week ago, they said we were not in control, i guess its their opinion against our knowledge. they said that because we are better skiers than most on the run than most that we have to give them the right of way, i feel they should not be on a trail that is above their abilty level

ski patrol people are just full of themselves thats all, they think they own the hill, at my little tiny hill, if you go in trees, they will clip ur passes, out west, they promote tree runs... they are just power freaks

it seems like most ambassadors are more of a threat to the safety of skiers than we are cause most of them can't ski in control as well

i saw a skier skiing through a small park that was gonna open the next day, everything was setup so perfectly i wouldnt blame him for doing it because everyone wanted to go in there

the ski patrol was chasing him while he was hitting some rails and they eventually caught him in the air when he hit a small jump, it was fun to watch

i hate racers there was this one kind i went up the left with and he started telling me about how the rails rune your edges and i was like do you really think i care he said well you wont be abale to carve i said you dont need to carve you go faster in a straight line then he went on about how i wouldnt beable to stop i said thats what trees are for

they might save you life someday,

unless they really hate you, they will assist in injuring you more by crashing with you in the sled

i like our ski patrol for the most part. i dunno, on the topic of going to fast, there cool at least. when it comes to out of bounds and avy stuff, their serious as fuck, but they should be. yeah, me and my friends got to the top of our mountain, totally first, no one. straight no one. no pow, off trail sucked, just groomed, snow was perrrrrfect. decided to straightline everything we could. we got up to speed pretty fast, zipped past ski patrol on our way to the bottom of the lift. patrol guy caught up with us, figured we were hosed, came up and said "shit guys, you musta been goin 55" and thats all he said, skied away. most of em are cool. as long as no ones around you, they usualyl dont get to mad.

ski patrol is so fucking gay this year...ive been talked to three times already by the fucking pricks (ive never been stopped by the ski patrol before this year).

some racers are gay but hell, i raced, and now i ski park/all mountain so there not all bad ;). if ski patrol gets you and wants to clip your pass just tell them that you have been sneeking on the lifts all day and you never even got a ticket. then procede to keep skiing and AVOID the ski patrol.

you schould have skied in front of them and let your rooster tail or ice hit them in the face.

I just got my sunday river pass back after it being taken away for a few days by the PARK RANGER! FOR SKIING TOO FAST!

NICK ROMA SUNDAY RIVER'S PARK RANGER IS A GIANT COCK-BAG!

yeah they suck, until you break both your legs and they are the ones taking care ofyou and bring you down the hill.

the ambassadors at my mountain are some of the biggest fags ever. We had a fricken tight ass down box setup, then on the day it was setup some noob snoboarder broke his leg on it. Not because the setup was sketchy or anything, just because he plain sucked. So because of the one injury, they made the park manager take down the box the next day.

I hear Northstar has speed monitors or people with radar guns or something now.

And that in some areas they enforce the speed pretty hard..but whats so wrong with a friendly game of dodge the gapersssssssss. I've never hit anyone!

i hit someone once. we were on a cat track and i was switch but not really looking where i was going (ok, so i wasn't looking at all) and i hit this dude. he got knocked over, but he was cool about it.

actaully i got a warning at blue mountain a few years ago for tucking into race postition...fuckn pathetic if u ask mee haha

Most people who are a danger on the hill dont' realize that they are. And unless you'd worked as a patroller, I really don't think you're in a position to judge them... so grow the fuck up.

its true..........As much as you hate it and as much as we all think we're the shit its always different from an outsiders view. It could have been a crossing, slow area, or you looked out of control. Also one person bombing down the hill doesnt look bad but an entire crew just looks wreckless. Sure youd probably be fine if they never talked to you. But theres gonna be a day where you fall. And there gonna be the ones there for you. And trust me, you'll be glad.
