damnit, a lot of the people out there keep dissing our sport, it annoys me so fricking much. in this snowboarding magazine they where dissing this one guy for switiching to skiing, it pissed the fuck out of me. dont they realise that skiing takes shitloads of skill? probably more than snowboarding? damnit.

out of all the sports in the x games, skiing has to be one of the hardest. rollerblading, skateboarding, moto x, bmx, snowboarding, any of them.

I'm with Mike Hunt...skateboarding is much harder than skiing....who cares what snowboard magazines say. you're bitching about them talking shit about skiing or whatever, yet you're talking about how snowboarding isn't as easy as skiing or whatever.

well skateboarding is a lot harder because for starters the board isn't friggin attatched to your feet. it's a lot harder.

 
yeah skateboarding is by far the hardest, skiing just looks the coolest in my opinion

Ya true that. Youve only begun to do what you can on a skateboard. ex: nollie hardflip to noseslide. skateboarding is absolutely unlimitless for what you can do.

 
i wish i was able to skateboard. but i've snowboarded before and skiing does take a lot more skill. thats all i have to say.

Any sport is as hard as u want it to be. If somebody went out and stuck a switch 1080 of a 100ft cliff that would be way harder than a 900 or a switch loop on a skateboard. Or say kicking a 90 yard field goal which is way harder than a d-spin.

some things are hard for some people and not others. people just need to respect that other sports take just as much skill. all take time and dedication. some just come easier to some people. it just depends on what you do more of and what you love to do. I know some ballet dancers that are amazing at what they do, but if you toss them a frisbee, or a ball they don't have a hope of catching it.

eastcoast i wish i could surf.. the lifestyle is really chill like sking. thats what i like about it. surfing itself doesn't lok as cool as sking.

no i think is sooo tight that all these kids went and tried snowboarding for like a few years( that part isn't cool) but now they are coming back to sking. i never thought it would happen. i thought they would just suck at snowboarding for the rest of their lives, thinking they are cool.

surfing is the absolute gnarliest sport in the world. Its fucking unbelievable to watch. Some of the pipes the are surfing are in like 10 feet of water and there is fucking corral which is like sandpaper. The waves are crazy the stuff they do on waves is crazy and I don't think anything in the world could beat the feeling of getting tubed. Such cool shit.

 
dude at pipeline you can hit the sand at low tide cause the waves so thick, also, they surf in like 4 feet of coral in some places, its nuts.

yea, the stupid aura that sking has created because of the 80's. Now if i tell someone i ski they look at me like i must have seven orange and neon pink jackets in my closet. Skiing now is so much different and impressive now. As skiers we always will get more air, will do larger spins (thx to CR) and will be able to smoke snowboarders on any terrian. Dont let it bother you. Just shake your head and know that you could whoop anyone on the snow, and thats where it really matters.... ah, im rambling.

 
I would say that skateboarding, surfing and FMX are all harder the skiing, for me anyways. I'm sure its different for everyone.

Why do you care what people think anyway, if you're skiing to impress or be cool then you're in it for the wrong reasons.

yes yes its all about mind over matter, its only matter of time before i go for mine...id rather be the unsigned hype than the un hyped signed ! but anywho...skiing does take skill yea...snowboarding taeks skill...skateboarding takes shitloads of skill..surfing takes skill...flatland bmx takes a helluva lot of skill not to mention norm bmx and all that other action sports out htere...and for whoever said this, snowboarders would kill us on rails (i know we kickass on there and all but were still not up there with them yet) and also in the halfpipe, we can just hope that the day will come when we are goign to someday beat them on the halfpipe...oh yea after this year i also think that we have gone a huuuuge step up to catching up with boarders in the back country hits as well peace

Ive never done it, so i could be wrong, but i cant imagine freestyle motorcross being that hard. hard being relative to the top level of skiing, skateboarding, etc.

to be comfortable enough on a motorcycle to do the stuff they do, at the hight they do takes a heluva lot of skill. I havn't done it, but I know that motorcross riders are some of the fittest athletes. they have my respect

Yah..skateboarding is so hard....definitly need skills for that.

I don't see moto x as much more then a mind game. I don't think those tricks are THAT hard to throw (with the exception of some) it just takes HUUGE balls to do them over a 90ft gap with a 250lb bike and a hard dirt landing. They get messed everytime they fuck up.

But ya...everything is relative. What's crazy for one person, is another day at the office for someone else.

I was drinking last night and went skateboarding. It seemed like an excellent Idea at the time. I'm just learning so I suck bad. I went down this walking ramp and turned into a stair. I hurt my knee and ankle.
