try and avoid the switch snowplowing and try and throw in some carves, you may fall a couple of times but eventually ull have it down

switch looking left and right when your turning, stay centerd, try just rolling it back and forth on edge. Pratice, practice, practice, eventually you'll be able to carve swicth better than half the kids on the hill can ski forward.

just start skiing switch, and practice alot, cuz it wont come to you right away. dont worry about looking like a fag, cuz you will when you fall, everyone does, but it pays off in the end

days when your home area hasn't gotten snow for two weeks is a perfect time to learn switch skiing. That's what I did today, it's fun cruising by ski patrol backwards....yeah practice a lot, you may catch an edge when you're going from switch back to regular or vice versa, fluid body movements improve your skills too. mostly practice, just like anything else. what is really fun, find some rollers do a 180 off the first one, then switch 180 off the second one. do that a few times, then go unnatural....good practice

yea i have the same prob, but i find it easier take in off switch than just carving, i keep falling into a snow plow, it pisses me off so much, so then when i focus on my skis bieng straight my neck gets sore, eh, i should stop bieng a pussy

stick you butt out, and put pressure on the back of your boot with your calve, basically just do everything you would do to carve fowards in reverse. O and dont hit anyone with your poles

If you have a 1380 SAT and a 86.71 GPA... what does everyone say? Not good job, not 'O wow, thats awesome!' No, they say things like 'You are an underachiever'

Yeah good call about the poles, they tend to flare out quite a bit and you don't notice when your looking over your shoulder. I can do pretty good skiing switch down groomers. I can move pretty good but when I get in the park I can only land about 1/2 of my switch tricks, taking off swith isn't so much a problem unless I spin too soon, then I go endo into a yardsale, it's always fun.

Yeah, flex your knees a bit,but if you jump you gotta keep 'em locked or else you'll....can't find the word....shit. Anyway,I have a problem,I can't ski switch while looking over my left shoulder, which sucks, cause I spin to the left. But I can carve pretty nicely while looking over the right shoulder..I need to fix this problem, but it's so slow,I tell ya..

Coming Soon...

skiing switch just came naturally for me. I first did it on some rossi bandits, not even twintipped. its all a matter of getting used to it and finding a comfortable position on your skis.

this is pretty important!...taper your skis. like if you look over your left shoulder let your right ski be slightly ahead of the left one. this makes it easier to look over your shoulder and it makes it alot easier later when you hit rails switch. trust me i learned to ride switch with my skis paralel and i ended up having to do the whole bent over look upside down thing, and i had to re-learn how to ski switch so i could do switch rails....

Look over one shoulder the entire time...except to check your blind spot. Hip angulation is key for the turn towards your blind spot...and you gotta lean into you turns. Don't keep your feet locked together either. Sometimes you'll want to narrow your stance up to keep from falling but you need to learn to keep your knees bent, relax, and keep your stance fairly wide.

^^yep put the ski of the shoulder your looking over farther down the mountain than the other, you barely have to think about riding switch then.

i bought those little rearview mirrors for my helmet that are used for rode biking... works unreal

i invented eBay so does that mean i get a discount on the crap u sell

so do i switch looking left and right when I'm turning, or is it just looking over one shoulder the whole time with the exeption of checkin blind spots? I guess it would help if i had some more fucken vids

heres my problems skiing switch... i suck at it... yeha... but anyway getting a lead change makes it harder to actually lean into the turn and get the ski bending for me, and when i try just skiing with my stance squared, i always find my inside ski diverging hardcore and throwing me off.

I'm posting a clip in the video section. Hope it helps. And for the 3rd time...look over one shoulder the whole time except to check your blind spot. Turning you head each turn takes too much time and messes with your balance.

We spent all night riding switch the other day since only the bunny slopes were open.. I try to get a little lower to lower my center of gravity (helps to keep your tips from getting caught).. Also, don't get freaked out once you start to get speed, stay relaxed.. When you try to back around to regular, i found that leaning backwards and putting pressure on my tails while i was 180ing back helped me to smoothly slide back to regular. It's lots of fun, try it.

oh, and, taking off switch is much harder than just skiing switch.. word to that
