Skiing switch and speed

I've noticed whenever I ski switch, with a fresh coat of wax or dry base, that I always have a ton less speed whenever I ski switch. Is there any reason for this and any way I can improve it?

cause you apply and scrap the wax from tip to tail, you can do it the other way around if you want, but then itll be slower going regular

Shit, i was thinking that could have been it when waxing the other day. Do you think that means that riding dry would work better?

maybe youre not craping all the wax off your tails, or your just not scraping enough wax off the skis or your using crappy wax

you probably dont relize it but ur probably doing a reverse snowplow, although its suttle its makes a huge diffrence. i used to ahve the same problem just ski switch more and it sould go away with practice

if you really believe that the direction makes a difference then scrape the wax off, and then use a brush with stiff bristles and brush the bases thoroughly.
