I know Mark Abma's web page charity has been talked about, but I want to share to more people the web page and the video. We can help make our sport sustainable.

Remember, "We don't own the environment, we're simply borrowing it from our grandchildren."

It's about a lot more than trees. Actually, the sustainable thing to build skis out of is bamboo, which is a grass- not a tree. Thanks for showing interest though man! +Karma just cause. It's a cause that can help future generations enjoy our sport as much as all of us do. Continue to educate yourself on the issue!

but bamboo skis (boone is what im thinking) break so easily, cuasing them to need to make more skis. wouldnt it be more sustainable to use less materials that are more durable than more materials that are less durable?

Im not only worried of how the skiing expirience will be for our grandchildren, but im worried how it will be in 20 years too!

well, atleast im probably going to ski the best years of my life

By skis from Liberty. Liberty is I BELIEVE the most environmentally clean company. They run their offices and factories partially or possibly entirely from wind power. Also, they're skis are bamboo and they are sick as hell. My brother has beaten a pair to hell and they have held up amazingly. You have a point, but I think that bamboo holds up great already. Instead of finding another building form, just find a way to make the sustainable resource stronger.

Sorry for the triple post!
