Skiing superstitions?

never call last run

bent pole on the left

right and left ski

haha call out names of historical figures before a trick for good luck

got to keep my let ski left and right ski right other wise it feels weird

and i always clak the snow off the boots by kicking the binmdinf

before a race i always stomps my skis really hard on the ground alot of time

i always where a helmet, always ski with gogles on my face and always use pole straps

1.gotta wear boy short panties w. snow flakes

2.silent rocks

3.certain music

4.buckles

5.right glove, buckle, socks, etc etc first

6.when i ride w. my bestfriend we have a special handshake and if she or i land a new jump or anything we have a special dance

yeah calling last run is a bad idea.

and before i drop i always flick my skis a little bit to get the snow off, i hate hitting big jumps with snow on my skis, or anything for that matter

when ever im about to hit a rail i dont like to have snow on top of my skis...if at all possible i knock it off b 4 i hit the rail

Whenever I would go out west to ride, I would ride with a small backpack to keep water/food/camera in and shit...but I got so used to wearing it and the balance with it that i ride with it all the time now.

i set my skis on the snow nose first, then set down the tails last... i also have a right, and left pole... and i always wear a facewarmer, no matter how warm it is..

This year, I begun wearing a sweater on powder days, same sweater and I haven't washed it once this season (mostly because it's dry clean only), and I've had some great pow days this year.

Also when I used to compete, i used to growl/roar to get amped up and aggresive right as I dropped in at every event even big air events.

And when I am about to ski something that has my balls all clenched up and has dangerous consequences if you fall, I make sure to tell whoever I am with that I love them.

we (Vail freeride team)never say last run because everytime we say that someone pulls a muscles or breaks a bone

you know what, just reading all of this is making me feel nervous and shit, jeez.

I have a left and right ski, and I clank my poles, thats it.

I always find I get more amped and comfortable with hitting a feature if I continually hit it and nothing else in the park, just completely focus in on it until I land what I am doing.

i usually pray the rosary. then taking a rabbit or squirrel and giving a sacrifice to the Ski Gods. and it involves my morning routine, tapping the snow off my skis, and always skiing with the ipod. cuz without it, id be able to hear myself scream when i fall

I hate these superstitions but every time before hopping on the lift I nose press, tail press. and hop a bunch...haha. I also kiss my stuff goodnight like its watching me.

i also talk to my gear. complimenting them on how good they did that day. and pumping them up for the next one. i also look at the reflection of the operationg shack on the mirror. seeing how good i look, making sure everyone knows it too

word

or until ur out of sight of those who do not deserve to lay eyes on such a magnificent creation, such as myself

dont do the wink.. thats doom.... i always say im gonna do a few more.

and if you get a rock solid run through the park and you want to do one more.. call it quits..
