on a serious note:
I think skiers are very expressive and seek are wear clothes that represent aspect of their personality. Wearing your heart on your sleeve so speak. They kinds of patterns and how they wear it says a lot about who they are as person. Even if you just picked something out cause you think it looks good, your definition of good is heavily influenced by your background and other things. They may choose a style/color/brand to stand and be unique by wearing bright or hideous looking clothes. They may also be trying to achieve the opposite effect by wearing earth tones and mellow colors. By choosing fashion over function (tall tees, baggy pants, short poles) they are making a statement.
