Skiing outta Edmonton

Ey guys, I'm transferring to UofA next year and wondering hows the skiing like up there...

Obviously Calgary is better but I don't really have a choice in staying here due to my degree. All I've seen is Snow Valley and Rabbit Hill but I can't find any solid pictures of their park setup anywhere.

I'm probably going to try to get a job at one or the other for free skiing (hopefully), as anyone been to one or the other? Don't even need that crazy of a park, a handful of rails and a jump would keep me happy. I'm leaning towards Snow Valley since its so close to campus

hey man sorry i didn't see this earlier! the best, most well kept park in the city would probably be rabbit hill. every year they put together an extremely fun skate-style park with a private handle tow for quick laps. this past season they had a floaty 45-50ft jump and around 25 features. i'll post up some edits to give you an idea of what it's like.

Edmonton ski club has been on the rise lately as well. i've heard they've pretty much covered the whole hill with park features but i wasn't able to head out there this year so i can't speak much on it.

snow valley can be a little in inconsistent with their park setup. this year they only had a decent park setup for about the last month of skiing. in my opinion rabbit hill is worth the drive but if you just want to get some laps in for an hour or so then valley does the trick.

if you're interested in a job at rab they have a job fair in September and if you get there on one of the earlier days of the fair you'll probably get a job.
