Skiing, or trip to Hawaii?

Hey guys,

So i have a dilemma. In two weekends, after finals, my parents are going to Hawaii because my dad has a conference over there. I would be staying there for 4 days and miss two days of school.

That same weekend, my troop ( yes, I am a boyscout) is going skiing. We would ski for three days, and then come back

So I could either go to Hawaii for five days and miss the first two days of the semester, or go ski and not miss any school.

suggestions?

 
Are you going to a BIG mountain, or simply the local mountain which you can go anytime? I would go to Hawaii if it would be the local mountain!
 
Hawaii. Ski after you get back. First two days of school will just be going over what is expected, the rules, etc.
 
Id be skiing at Tahoe.

I usually go up three times a month, and I would be going to Sugar Bowl. Not my local mountain, but ive been a few times.
 
it is possible, Muana Kea sits at 13,500 feet and gets plenty of snow. no lifts though (obviously)

I'd say skiing, I just got back from Hawaii and flights there kinda suck. It's like 6.5 hours there, 5 hours back and if you're only there for like 4 days it would feel as if you didn't get to spend enough time there. But that's just my opinion, I had a really good time there though.
 
last year i went to hawaii and in two nights when i was gone the mountain got 100cm i was so choked cause the entire year we had no snow
 
go to hawaii. i went there last year for a week and it was insane, its like the best state. you can ski anytime and you cant really go to hawaii much... and there is year round skiing in hawaii to, so if you had time for a long car drive and some cash for a pass than you can ski there.
 
Fuck Hawaii. Why would anyone ever want to go there? Anywhere with snow and lifts is better than Hawaii. If it was between a tropical vacation (to somewhere better than the shithole they call Hawaii of course) and Tahoe that would change things perhaps.

Why'd you chose Hawaii to go for a tropical vacation anyway?
 
Yes sir. Go ski in hawaii, that would be the most badass option. They don't have lifts but they do have people that will drive you up to where you can shred and pick you up at the bottom. They also have guides.

Go surf some sunrise sets and then take some afternoon laps, sounds like a hell of a day to me.
 
Just read that it was for your dads business. So that means most likely everything will be free. That might make Hawaii alright. Though I've heard their food down there is awful.
 
well considering SPAM is a delicacy to them, yes it's awful haha. unless you go to a luau with a pig roast. mmmmm
 
I'm so hungry right now.

Burger and onion rings for lunch at the local burger joint is gonna have to do it though, no pig roasts in Bellingham
 
haha okay i guess that works too.. i mean its not really a shithole. but yeah i didnt see that it was tahoe, so yeah i guess tahoe is the better option
