Skiing on Sand?

Hey team NS,

Going to a big ass sand dune tomorrow. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about how to make your skis slide on sand?

lol they don't actually say how to ski on sand in that episode. they simply just do it and then fail and then do it again and kill it.

Normal skis do slide, just not very well, if you have steep terrain they'll work though. We glued formica to our bases and Andy did a poor job on his. My skis held up, but were definitely coming apart towards the end from impacts and flexing. Also, rubbing on a little parafin wax and buffing it into the formica before each run helps a ton.
