Skiing on plastic

That won't work. When you turn and carve with your skis, the plastic will rip off or at least get damaged. And I wonder how good it'll slide.

How much does that shit cost if I'd want to buy 10 x 2m size of a flat?

ya ^ is right it would be so hard cause ur edges would dig into it and rip it or not go in at all and u would slide sideways ??????? and another thing (**falls on keyboard**)fthtgeajyarhgruaegrvffg

It works real well actually, it has foam underneath so it when you turn your edges dig in, and it slides well, just not like real snow. shame that we cant build owt bigger cos of space tho.

so when you fall on this stuff do you get wicked bad burns or do you slide on it like snow.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

You dont get burns unless you hit really hard, you just slide. you have to wear long sleeved tees and pants though. Apparently its quite expensive, something like £50 per square metre.

YEah i've heard of that stuff!! and No it doesn't dig in when you ski otherwise why the fuck wold people spend $$$ to make it in the first place!

Mothership: were you at BUDS? What uni are you at? I'll be at Hillend every Sunday over summer if the weather is good - see you there maybe.

hey everyone i wrote the guy who is in charge of the US operation of putting in snowflex parks. I have now found the first thing i want to invest money in now that i am all grown up and adult-like. I am interning with an excavating company this summer and fall and excavation is one of the main costs of setting up a snowflex park. I am now going to start the process of looking for sponsors and getting feedback from local riders (ski and board) to see if it would be a profitable venture. I live in colorado and have always wanted a way to ski in the off-season. If I followed through with this park i would either put it in/near ft collins (where i'm from and a 2 1/2 hour drive from the mountains) or somewhere close to denver. it would most likely be open april-november and possibly year-round at night. my vision for it would be mainly a park setup, but to be profitable it would probably need a bunny hill and/or some moguls. I was just hoping to get some feedback from either some colorado people who would use the park if i went through with it or some blokes who are familiar with how established it is in the UK. Please please PLEASE respond if this is something you would like to see in colorado (or anywhere in the US) and you would use the park if it was available.

p.s. he said that they aren't offering small quantities for sale YET but after a few more business ventures in countries such as denmark it may be a possibility

peace

I was at Buds but did'nt compete hoping too this year though. I'm at Edinburgh uni so I'm up at hillend quite a bit so might see you there sometime. Did you compete? Take it your at strath?

Mothership: Yeah, I'm at Strathclyde. I competed at BUDS but didn't do too well - they said slopestyle would be two runs qualifying and then one run final, so I took it easy on my first run. But then they ran out of time and said that was the end of the comp. In big air, I pre-qualified on the Friday, but they put me with the non-uni skiers in the final - I was 4th out of non-uni - I could have maybe got 3rd if I was in with the uni guys. Next year maybe...

that shit is so sick...im not gonna fly to england to ski it though...sorry
