Skiing on Mars?

Accept all the 'ice" on Mars is actually CO2, which has no liquid phase. Skis depend on snow to melt under pressure, creating a layer of liquid water on which the skis slide. Skiing on Mars wouldn't work very well because the weight of a skier on frozen CO2 wouldn't melt anything, and you'd be stuck as if skiing on sand.

Here's an interesting read about the snow quality on Mars. Bad news: building kickers is gonna be tough.

Pow days are going to be sick though haha

Skiing in the craters would actually make for sick resorts because you could put the town on the inside or something and have lifts going up all the way around. Plus the highest mountain is about double Everest so even though it would pretty much be impossible get up it, it is still a cool idea.
