Skiing on leaves and hay??

Today its about 65-70 degrees out and since I have some dented scratched and pretty much ruined Rossis sitting around I wanna know what I need to ski in the grass. Would it work with leaves or does it have to be hay or both. Then I could put up some rails and have some fun.

 
i have a big tarp that i use to ski on in spring and fall, all you need is rink snow. i just shovel it into my dads pick-up, dump it on the tarp and ski.

my friends call me jeff...
 
go to your local ice arena, ask when the next dump is, and tell them you want the shavings

Right now im making a rail. Almost done too. I used a wooden bench turned upside down then I nailed a long board on the legs and im bolting 2 90 inch pieces of pvc on.

Leaves work really well, but if you are just looking for an in-run surface for a rail, get snowfence. It's that orange stuff they put along the sides of race courses and you can get it at any home-improvement store.

I got 2 bails of straw for it. Didnt get to try it yet because its getting dark just layed it down and put water on it. Then I tried it in shoes and it works awsome.

It works great. I got some nice vids but it will take me a while to get them on here. I was falling off in the beginning but now I have pretty much mastered this rail.

 
Yea, I know 8 feet isnt much but its my only rail and I made it two days ago in about 2 hours. I works great, just not so long. I want to make either and extention for it or another rail about 20 feet long. Maybe with a kink.

 
i was thinking the other day, would you be able to slide on crisco?

use candle wax to slide, its super slick and it stays on the rail
