skiing, obviously easier than snowboarding

my cousin was throwing backflips ten minutes after he stepped on a snow board for the first time and he had ski boots on, how come snowboarders can just jump and do 5 and only a few can jump and do a 360 on ski, how come they can nose press throw kinks and we can barely nose press a 20 stair hand rail, eh eh eh. case closed

how come skiers go down hill forwards and snowboarders go down sideways. its like theyre sliding a rail on skis the whole time theyre riding! crazy! eh eh eh. case closed

westcoast, that was the worst comeback...ok, they ride sideways, big deal. It's not any harder then going down straight. You ride sideways on a skateboard and a surfboard as well so you cant say snowboarding as much different from those.

Just because there are more no names throwing bigger things on skis has nothing to do with how easy it is...it just shows how much harder it is to become a pro if you ski

skiin' easier than boarding? thats gotta be one of the stupidest things i've ever heard... i tried boarding and dedicated a whole season to it and was doin' clean 3's by after 7 day trips... you don't have to worry about havin' both feet in the right spot, you don't go as fast as ya do on skis, 10 times easier to jib... yeh, snowboarding is real tough.

im pretty sure it really depends on the person man , a lot fo stuff in life is all like that. When i tried snowboarding , as soon as i coudl turn i could do rails and jumps and shit off some ok booters, l ike 20 feet, and i could 360 really small drops , couldnt spin off jumps. But my friend snowboarded for 3 years couldnt do rails really, could barely do jumps i was basically better then him, he tried skiing and first day he hits up a 60 foot booter , does all these rails , just kills it . so really it all depends on the person what theyre good at. i think.

Where I’v bean for the past 3 years I was the only skier in the park and I sucked, as for skiing being easer the progression different it harder to be good at skiing then boarding but easer to be a beginner.

snowboard is harder to ride, but so damn more easier to do tricks with. after 10 times on snowboard i did a 540, on skis i cant even do things like that(yeah, i know i suck). After one season on snowboard i found out that skiing is so much more funnier to ride then snowboard.

 
It all depends on the vision of skiing and snowboarding you have. Personnally, I think that spinning in snowboarding is harder but tricks are different in the two sports. Yes, you can spin 1260 and 630 on rails everywhere, but I think this way your not doing anything new. People should emphasis more on how to the a certain tricks in a certain way that it looks original, new to the sport rather than call any tricks and do them just to say that it's a '1260' and it is a high number and it sounds hard. I think giving examples of 'original' tricks (maybe it is not the best way to call what I think but whatever) is not necessary. It all come from what you think...how you think a trick can be beautiful.. This is the fun of skiing..The 'freestyle' of it and this is what will make our sport grow and make it more independent. Evolution that comes from snowboarding is also important become all those guys in films and magazines are really sick too but we also have to make our way to get recognized as an individual sport, not 'what is remaining from the sport of skiing that has lasted for more than 100 years.' Now that we have no more reliable magazine for our sport, it is might be a good way to get more recognized if our sport does not stop from evolving.

Dude, i know so many no-name snowboarders doing that shit. I know guys doing 630s on, 270s off, switch cork 9s with grabs, smooth as shit, and hitting 48 stair down, flat,down, flat hand rails...

They have a shop sponsorship, nothing else.Snowboarding is as rediculous, if not more, than skiing. Just because you dont ride with good snowboarders doesnt mean they arent there.
