C californiagrown Active member Oct 1, 2007 #4 the coastal mountains don't and will never get more than an inch or two of snow. tahoe is close( 4-5 housrs), mammoth is far(5-6 hours). However bear vallyey is chill and is only about 3 hours away, same with diamond peak
