Skiing near Ithaca

I'm thinking of going to Cornell or another university near Ithaca-Syracuse. Where could I ski next year? And who goes to either of these universities? I'm from Breckenridge, CO., and I'm hoping the skiing out there isn't that crappy.

We have an old saying down on the bayou....Blehhhhh!!!

labrador is the place to ski. its prolly about 20-30mins away. it has the best park in western NY its about 700vert so it is a big step down from out west.

Wow, no shit. Are the parks in upstate N.Y. icy, or are they groomed and shit a lot?

i think labrador grooms the pipe and park like everyday and they take care of their pipe unlike most places

you could go up to whiteface once in a while. its prolly 2 hours away but its 3600vertical the tallest ski mtn in ny the middle is icy but the top is super nice with a lot of powder. its also very cold. when my sister went in late feb it was negative 20 during the day

cha man go to bristol if you start getting board with labrador or something...

Yo, I'm on the Ithaca College Ski Team. We ski out of Lab. Its about an hour away from campus, but it beats the hell out of Greek and Song. Plus there are rails galore to jib between Cornell and IC. Lemme know if you got questions about it. Peace

yeah greekpeak is closer i think than lab and its a bigger hill but idk about their park i just kno they are both good

go to lab greek blows

i live in ithaca right near cornell, larbrador has a better pipe but its has way less hills. i go to greek peak cuz its closer i guess, and i guess ive just always gone to greek peak. the season passes at greak peak are like 200 dollors. so if your gunna ski there at all cuz the day passes are like 40 bucks. yeah labrador is like 20 minutes farther away

I went to Syracuse, and Lab was the best thing going. (20 min drive) If the park is all you want, then Lab is all you need. The pipe is sick...very well groomed. Sometimes they will spice it up with a rail wall on one side of the pipe. The park is next to the pipe, once removed by some trees, but the hits are BIG, creative rails, etc... The only problem: There is no rope tow next to the pipe, and the lift is old, slow. They really need to get a rope tow for the pipe.
