Skiing near asheville

Im coming to asheville to see family in late dec. What places near ash have the best parks? So far app looks good. Post yout top 3. Hope to see you there
 
closest to asheville are wolf ridge and cataloochie. wolf doesn't really have a park and i can't really comment on cat because i haven't yet made it there- but i think there's a few kids who call it home so they might be able to comment better

app hands down is the best in NC but is a longer drive. beech does ok and sugar is another one i haven't been to in a couple years so i can't provide much useful info on it

Sugar is really pissy about skiers going in the parks, and they look down on it.App is sick...Beech had a gnarly ass jump last year that would boot you, so they are stepping up.Cat is alright, park has some nice features, some of the riders can be dickish and some are pretty cool.I ride Ober, its an hour away from asheville..stay in NC we have a decent park for the second year having one but its not worth the drive.Cant say anything about anywhere else though.

Im on park crew at cat, Our park has really blown up this year and its only 35 mintues from asheville, also app is sick too if you wanna drive an extra hour and a half
 
im sorry, but no I am not high. I've been to cat twice so far and its sucked this year. old features that ive hit the past three years, and not great snow. 3 days at Ober so far and had a sick comp, 2 powder days, and always doin something new around the mountain and in the park.

But Seriously...Obers park has blown up...they also got legit sponsors (skullcandy, dakine, bansheebungee, redbull) while cat is still sitting over there licking their bawls.
 
personally, I have never seen you ride but im sure Jesse could take you. Btw when did skill overtake riding. Get your head out of your ass and just ride and respect everyone else. and really keep hatin on obers park..im pretty sure our park is twice as legit as Cats. buy some non rusted features and come ride Ober before you talk shit. pretty sure our riders could take your riders.
