And to the original poster, get some good all-mountain skis around 170 and make sure to get up to Bohemia sometime. It's about 2 and a half hours from Marquette, but it's the best skiing you'll find in the Midwest. Also, be ready for a shock, Marquette get 3x as much snow as the LP on average and the Keweenaw gets closer to 4-5x as much.
okay go to Northern and live up in the UP, It does not matter what length? I guess mid 170's? The park is fun, pretty good backcountry. Whatever you want to ski get that kind of ski. for 5 9 go in the 170cm's
you dont need to bump every 5 mins bud, patience, yea for BC at Marquette anything around 100mm would be about the max you would really "need" you may go bigger if you want but there isnt enough powder unless you're rich
